hAS ANYONE GOT AN OPPION ON THE ANNOUNCEMENT JUST MADE?

Rutherford - 26 Jun 2006 15:56 - 381 of 1049

Very positive RNS but still no movement in share price ?
Testing to take 10 days and steam equipment will be in place around that time. Should see some positive movement between now and test results and then on and up and hopefully around end of July Monterey will start so a positive time to be in these IMHO.

Kim
Have you bought into SER its diving.

kimoldfield - 26 Jun 2006 16:25 - 383 of 1049

Hi Driver, not yet but have them on a watch list. Topped up on SUN instead today, it is their AGM tomorrow and I have a feeling that they will have more good news. Looking good for BLR.

Changed my mind at the last minute Driver, bought a very small number, 20k, just to get my foot in the door!

And here is today's RNS, for those who haven't seen:

Black Rock Oil - Arce Oil Drilling
RNS Number:1674F
Black Rock Oil & Gas PLC
26 June 2006

For immediate release 26 June 2006

Black Rock Oil & Gas PLC

('Black Rock' or the 'Company')

Drilling completed at Arce Oil Field in Colombia

Testing about to commence

Black Rock Oil & Gas PLC is pleased to announce that drilling of Arce 4 has now
been drilled to its total depth of 3,073 feet and this appraisal well is being
prepared for testing. Hydrocarbon shows have been observed in the well over a
300 foot interval at the base of the well with significant levels recorded in
one 50 foot zone.

While these results provide a preliminary update on progress and no comment can
be made on the hydrocarbon column until the well has been tested, information
obtained so far is consistent with expectations. Results of the testing should
be known in approximately 10 days time. It is expected that the Steam plant will
be on location at about the time initial testing of the Arce well has been
completed

Good news, but we knew already that there was oil there. It's the flow testing, and in particular the steam flood testing that will be important.

explosive - 26 Jun 2006 20:10 - 387 of 1049

Nothing new on that announcement just confirms what we already knew!!

Kim, welcome onboard SER, been in for years now, yep the sp took a massive +120% rise last week so expecting further drops. With the spread large anyway the MM's can't keep the price high...!! Good luck all the same with your 20K, I'm sure you already realise you'll need alot more to get a decent profit..

kimoldfield - 26 Jun 2006 21:13 - 388 of 1049

Cheers Explosive, 20k was actually a mistype when I was making my purchase, I only had a few seconds left and had intended to buy 200k; it was too late by the time I realised what I had done!! Never mind, I will probably hang on to my 20k indefinitely now; if SER becomes another Shell or BP it won't look too bad, even after the 15 for 1 consolidation. Nothing wrong with dreaming!!

kim
You can average down tomorrow.

explosive - 26 Jun 2006 21:20 - 390 of 1049

Well a 1 for 1 offer from BP in takeover would be a pretty wicked dream... I'd be a multimillionaire over night!!! Gooood dream!!

Oily Jim - 28 Jun 2006 11:21 - 391 of 1049

Just recieved from BLR if you have'nt seen it.

Shareholders

Tom Winnifrith of T1ps mentioned Black Rock in an article dated 27th June He continue to maintain that Black Rock's assets (in fact Arce on its own) are as attractive as ever and clearly worth a multiple of today's price even on a heavily risk weighted basis. With the shares trading at 1.4p, the stance is "speculative buy".

soul traders - 28 Jun 2006 14:44 - 392 of 1049

Thanks for posting it, Jim. Confirms what some of us have been saying for months . . .

Marcel1970 - 30 Jun 2006 11:51 - 393 of 1049

Does anyone know why you can sell upto 1000000 BLR in 1 hit @ 1.40 but you can only buy a max of 15000 @ 1.60 why hasn't the price gone up

explosive - 03 Jul 2006 18:24 - 394 of 1049

Because you can't see for much higher than 1.4. Obviously someone is buying up shares... Time will tell as large holding have to be announced in RNS.

Rutherford - 04 Jul 2006 00:39 - 395 of 1049

Test results due on Wednesday roughly so should see a rise there if all gone well. The price did not move on the news of 50 ft. pay zone and shows of hydrocarbons over a 300 ft section of the well. All the other wells at Arce have only had a 30ft payzone so this could certainly be better. We shall see soon enough!

soul traders - 04 Jul 2006 13:20 - 396 of 1049

Ruthers, I think it is the results of the steam testing that will be the most interesting, due to the fact that oil is already known to be present, but it is the steaming that will greatly multiply the rate of production.

Shivering with anticipation anyway. Well, not exactly, given the 35-degree heat, but I'm looking forward to it.

Rutherford - 04 Jul 2006 13:29 - 397 of 1049

soul traders, yes you are correct. The steaming should increase the flow by 5 to 10 times initial flow. Look for to Monterey around August which is the company maker I believe!

Marcel1970 - 04 Jul 2006 13:33 - 398 of 1049

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEA AS TO WHY BLR HAS DROPPED SLIGHTLY GIVEN THAT THERE ONLY SEEMS TO BE BUYS

diydave - 04 Jul 2006 14:24 - 399 of 1049

Hello Soul, just got back from the sun. With the conspicuous exception of BLR (and to some extent SEY) I find myself a lot worse off on paper at least. (plus what I spent on hols!)
I've obviously missed a bit of excitement but it would seem, however, that I've got back just in time to see the sp rise on that head of steam we talked about in May!

Shame to see we lost Dr Square along the way. He claims to be a novice but he's a pretty shrewed one. He may just have got this one wrong.

Cynic. My apologies for my comment in May. You had posted essentially the same message two or three times without any corollary, so I incorrectly took you to be a serial deramper. Obviously not. I note, however, that we have yet to persuade you that Columbian heavy crude is worth a punt!
