THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

gold. your question if they can not pay the rent then they must be living in a home to dear . why should working class people on min wage help to pay their rent living in a big home while they struggle .
they mostly do not work so move them to a area with cheap rents .or get off their backsides and find a job .

TANKER - 17 Jul 2014 10:20 - 43849 of 81564

You must give your landlord access to the property to inspect it or carry out repairs. Your landlord has to give you at least 24 hours’ notice and visit at a reasonable time of day, unless it’s an emergency and they need immediate access.

You must also:
take good care of the property – eg by turning off the water at the mains if you’re away in cold weather
pay the agreed rent, even if repairs are needed or you’re in dispute with your landlord
pay other charges as agreed with the landlord - these may include Council Tax or utility bills
repair or pay for any damage caused by you, your family or friends
only sublet a property if the tenancy agreement, or your landlord, allows it

Your landlord has the right to take legal action to evict you if you don’t meet your responsibilities.

two rockets fired in to ISRAEL hamas breaking the ceasefire again .but we all know that hamas terrorists do not give a shite about gaza only the money they are making for retirement to another country . Israel should just bomb the lot .no lose to the world

gold. your question if they can not pay the rent then they must be living in a home to dear ...................................ends

TANKER 70% on Housing benefit are in work.

Its the 1. Housing Benefit Cap
2. Bedroom Tax
3. Council Tax Cap

That as led to people getting in arrears, not idle people as you believe yourself.

Why on earth do you think Food Banks, Cheap Retailers, Pay Day loan Companys, Charity Shops, Catologue Companys, cheap cuts of meat, savings at their lowest, debts at their highest have come about???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Its a combination of,

1. employers paying low wages (less than min wage in some circumstances)
2. A cut in benefits
3. paying more back door taxes eg, child benefit taken away from some midle class
4. having to pay for health charges eg, lack of NHS Dentists
5. government promoting higher inflation
6. increased housing costs

that have all led to these arrears of benefits, since the tories got in power.

Haystack - 17 Jul 2014 10:43 - 43852 of 81564

T
There is no ceasefire. It was imposed by Israel. Hamas wants a truce, which is not the same thing.

TANKER - 17 Jul 2014 10:44 - 43853 of 81564

gold has a pensioner and many friends pensioners .they live on just over 11k a year and pay £200 tax can get no help because they pay tax .those that pay no tax get benefits .so they end up far better off than the pensioners that saved this is a disgrace .the secret is not to save do not put money into a pension spend all your money and let the fools saving pay for your life style .

is this what you mean

goldfinger - 17 Jul 2014 10:46 - 43854 of 81564

What I propose is that people who support these benefit cuts help the poor out and I would have them come around to TANKERS house say monday for a big slap up meal, bring all the kids and boyfreind aswel, Cynics house tuesday , Hays house wednesday, and Hilarys house thursday, and then some others the rest of the week.

Of course a council official would have to do check ups and inspect the level of the food and hopitality with tax sanctions levied on them who werent up to scratch.

I think this is an excelent idea and just think say if an asian family came around to TANKERS house how social cohesion and benefits like social integration could be built.

In the course of time this could be extended to overnight stay aswel with breakfast.

TANKER - 17 Jul 2014 10:47 - 43855 of 81564

hay watch the news HAMAS HAVE BROKEN THE CEASEFIRE FIRING ROCKETS INTO ISRAEL SPOKESPERSON FOR HAMS SAID WE WILL NEVER STOP FIRING ROCKETS INTO ISRAEL .

TANKER - 17 Jul 2014 10:50 - 43856 of 81564

GOLD so you will not answer my post which is fact . the people claiming benefits are better off than those working fact .

so should we tell all oor children spend spend spend do not save do not put money up for retirement the tax payers will pay for your life style . yes or no

Haystack - 17 Jul 2014 10:53 - 43857 of 81564

No, they won't stop firing rockets. After all! They are only firing into land that was stolen from them. One day they will get it back and change the name of the land back to Palestine. If anything, they need to be more aggressive.

cynic - 17 Jul 2014 10:56 - 43858 of 81564

film investment
hard to know which way the court case or tribunal will find
certainly the company invested in "proper" films, a number of which were significant successes
i guess HMRC's line of attack is something to do with the aggressive nature of the leveraging

of course it's the company that has asked for a tribunal, as that will determine the result for all investors

anyway, all very esoteric stuff ...... and no doubt we all remember that ken dodd and harry redknapp won their appeals, at which all were flabbergasted!

goldfinger - 17 Jul 2014 11:01 - 43859 of 81564

They wont bring Osbourne and the government down trust me. Just look at the attempts we have in charitys tried to get IDS to reveal deaths due to his policys over the last 2 years.

We keep winning but he keeps moving the goal posts and going to one court or tuther.

goldfinger - 17 Jul 2014 11:04 - 43860 of 81564

No No TANKER these people get more salary than those on full benefits, its usualy the WORKING PEOPLE who rely on a TOP UP BENEFIT who are suffering most and fall into arrears.

Youve mis understood me.

cynic - 17 Jul 2014 11:06 - 43861 of 81564

it's an interesting case though, probably with quite far-reaching consequences with regard to other "imaginative" tax sheltering (avoidance) schemes
