ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Cynic, this will be my last post on this thread... No doubt I'll take a position in ASOS at some point this year, but won't post it. I think this is by far the easiest way to proceed without abuse..

Tomasz, you remind me of that Russian cosmonaunt Lev Andropov in the film Armageddon, alone and left to your ramblings... Good luck with your position..

tomasz - 08 Jan 2014 12:13 - 4751 of 5941

lol! I like it !
I can understand it ,he was brave, mad and good, good luck to you too.. and remember - anytime baby...

cynic - 08 Jan 2014 12:17 - 4752 of 5941

shortie - i regularly follow your posts, even if i don't act on them, so if you find another medium, i'ld be very happy to hear .... of course, if you squelch tomasz as i did, then his rubbish no longer registers or annoys

tomasz - 08 Jan 2014 12:26 - 4753 of 5941

brown-nose cynic and his product of old, damaged and further shrinking brain at best! just epic !!

tomasz - 08 Jan 2014 13:06 - 4754 of 5941

anyway, back to business..at 6900 I've got P/E 140, but to next year earnings just 107 .no problem.incredible is how high can be priced highly well sorted business.all about believe in these laws and pulling the trigger at lower levels.:)

btw P/E doesn't really matter, hope everyone learned...

Seymour Clearly - 08 Jan 2014 13:58 - 4755 of 5941

Yes, yes, we all agree with you that p/e for ASOS isn't important at all, never has been, never will be.

tomasz - 08 Jan 2014 14:15 - 4756 of 5941

I almost bought that..lol...well not just for asos...its for anything.

Extraordinairy company.....market cap a teeny weeny overvalued possibly ? ....still can't understand how do people buy clothes online...how do you try them on ?.....I asked some French female friends of mine whether they would consider shopping online for everything and (they know a heck of a lot about clothes)....out of the question was the reply....you would order the wrong sizes all the time !....that's been my feeling all along for shopping online...but hey !...astoundingly successful company....sp got to fall off the edge of a cliff sooner or later...

jimmy b - 10 Jan 2014 18:48 - 4760 of 5941

I can buy shoes on line rf i definately know my size.

required field - 10 Jan 2014 19:16 - 4761 of 5941

Yes, but do they fit ? every time ?...Even those can vary Jimmy b....go from store to store and you will see.....this is a fabulous company and I'm kicking myself for not keeping the shares I had a few years ago...but I fear the sp is too high and that gravity (to use EK's words) might take over...

cynic - 10 Jan 2014 19:36 - 4762 of 5941

if you want to have good shoes that truly fit, then assuredly you at least have to know the make .... even then the last will vary from style to style

things that are loose fitting - e.g. sweaters and the like - are much easier to buy on line, provided you know which company makes the quality you are looking for .... even something as "simple" as lambswool can vary hugely in texture and quality .... cashmere is a whole new ballgame

Have a look at NBU Cynic....might do well in 2014...(chinese sportswear)...

jimmy b - 10 Jan 2014 19:56 - 4764 of 5941

Yes with shoes you know what your buying ,never buy clothes on line though ,i'm too fussy with the fit.

cynic - 10 Jan 2014 20:02 - 4765 of 5941

rf - is that a chinese company?

Adacol - 11 Jan 2014 09:41 - 4766 of 5941

My wife buys lots of clothes online.
If they do not fit or she just does not like them she can easily send them back.
She gets her money back and free return postage.
How do you think these companies survive selling clothes online?
She sends more back than she keeps!

required field - 11 Jan 2014 09:55 - 4767 of 5941

Yes...but it seems to be doing quite well Cynic.
