* M0NEY-AM G0LF DAY EVENT: 27 HOLES, INCL. SUSTENANCE & PRIZES (IN ADDITION TO M0NEY-AM SPONSORED PRIZES!) on: -
THURSDAY, 08 JUNE, 2006 *
So several months have passed... Based on the success of last Summer's Event at Longcliffe G.C., a few of you have asked me to take over the reigns from PTH and organise another G0LF M0NEY-AM DAY again based in the MIDLANDS. This is fairEST to the majority coming from all over the UK! From initial feedback (reflecting on 2005 36-Hole hot mid-Summer's day!), the popular view for a 2006 Event has been agreed, as follows: -
* Tea/Coffee on arrival.
* 9 Holes (4BBB 3/4 Stab.) Comp.
* Sandwiches/Lunch.
** 18 Holes (MAIN INDIVIDUAL (FULL HANDICAP) STABLEFORD EVENT) with M-AM and Golfing Prizes for Winners, incl. "Nearest-to-the-Pin" on the 9th. Hole and "The-Longest-Drive" on the 18th. Hole.
* 3-Course Evening Dinner (full waitress service), incl. coffee & mints + Prize Presentation/Mic. Table.
(** ADDITIONAL PRIZES from our generous SPONSORS include: - 3 months worth of Shares Magazine sent to the homes of EACH COMPETITOR every week. The Overall Winner will get The Money-AM Annual Golf Challenge Cup to keep for good plus 1 year's worth of Money-AM Level 2 service worth 357.50 + Vat. The Runner-Up and Third Placed Winners will each get a medal to keep plus 6 months' level 2.)
Venue: - H0RSLEY L0DGE G.C., Belper, Derbyshire (Championship Meadowland Course with American-type Greens). Refreshments will be in the On-Site Kingfisher Restaurant. Entry Fee is: - 60 per Competitor which will cover all of the above ** plus enough to buy some additional golfing prizes.

Are players off, Official Golf Club Handicaps, Golf Society Handicaps, or handicaps they have decided upon themselves.
Sorry Markusantonius I'm just stirring it, this Golf thread makes better reading than that of Companies/Shares etc.

Safety,
You can only "stirr things up" if you are joining us on the 8th. (and since you steadfastly avoid the subject - I guess you are chickening out?)! But of course, only official certified h'caps are allowed (Club or Society) with the exception of Fundy who (off 5) is an ex-'Category One' player. And if you think the banter is hot how - just wait till nearer the time - the insults were flying around from all angles, last year (good taste though!). But some of us just let our golf do the talking. :o)
P.S. Fundy, I will be impressed if you actually turn up this time!

Chockie has already agreed to caddy for me so you can always be my ball finder, Martini? A nice easy job!
I may need some help with the Winner's speach, as well. How are you fixed?

I'm sure I didn't Markiemark - but given the two options, I'll stick to not being your ball finder :S

markusantonius,
I am playing in a Lancashire Golf Union Comp at Nelson G/C on the 7th June, it is 113 miles (2.5 hours) journey from Blackpool to Belper, What time does it start, and what are the latest Tee-Off times.
Its a long way to travel to get mugged by a group of Money AM bandits!!!!
Erics comment amused me: " I can generally play to 18 in away matches ", does he mean he plays off 8 in "home matches", Keep an eye on him!! I think his handicap should be put under the microscope!

BTW in case you don't know - Eric was crowned "Champion" last June but HL will be a totally different proposition for the mid-high handicappers. :o)

BobColby,
Have sent you a mail, but just to let you know your cheque has been received - I will be forwarding it onto Mark in the next day or so.
If the rest of those wishing to attend could send their cheques to me as soon as possible (made payable to M Sutton of course), I will then send them onto Mark in batches.
Thanks
Ian

Just done the last 9 on the Internet - did OK but shouldn't have tried to carry the water on the 17th. Second nine in the morning, Mark? Not a lot of time pm for last group, particularly if they go for a swim! Get the feeling that the best putter will win. Great progress!

A solid putting (and chipping) game helps on ANY course, Eric... and hey, even a 10 year old can break the course record "online" - tiz a lot different with a REAL club in yer hands!! :o)

I would love to play but
1) Bob Colby and MG have seen how badly I play, I have no handicap, however my 13 year old has a handicap of 12 can I use him as a sub if I get tired after the 9 holes in the morning ? I did win one hole against BobColby and MG, strangely using MG's Mums driver, don't ask:-)
2) Martini and Choccie are trying to get me into their Longcliffe Golf Buggy Grand Prix and 12 hole clock golf tournament!
decisions decisions:-)

Bully,
No subs allowed, I'm afraid. But you are welcome to join us and play off 28 (the maximum Men's handicap permitted by the 'R&A'), if you want to? Howzat? BTW Chockie is caddying for me and Martini has the cushy job of being my ball finder for the day!! :o)
