THURSDAY, 08 JUNE, 2006 *
So several months have passed... Based on the success of last Summer's Event at Longcliffe G.C., a few of you have asked me to take over the reigns from PTH and organise another G0LF M0NEY-AM DAY again based in the MIDLANDS. This is fairEST to the majority coming from all over the UK! From initial feedback (reflecting on 2005 36-Hole hot mid-Summer's day!), the popular view for a 2006 Event has been agreed, as follows: -
* Tea/Coffee on arrival.
* 9 Holes (4BBB 3/4 Stab.) Comp.
* Sandwiches/Lunch.
** 18 Holes (MAIN INDIVIDUAL (FULL HANDICAP) STABLEFORD EVENT) with M-AM and Golfing Prizes for Winners, incl. "Nearest-to-the-Pin" on the 9th. Hole and "The-Longest-Drive" on the 18th. Hole.
* 3-Course Evening Dinner (full waitress service), incl. coffee & mints + Prize Presentation/Mic. Table.
(** ADDITIONAL PRIZES from our generous SPONSORS include: - 3 months worth of Shares Magazine sent to the homes of EACH COMPETITOR every week. The Overall Winner will get The Money-AM Annual Golf Challenge Cup to keep for good plus 1 year's worth of Money-AM Level 2 service worth 357.50 + Vat. The Runner-Up and Third Placed Winners will each get a medal to keep plus 6 months' level 2.)
Venue: - H0RSLEY L0DGE G.C., Belper, Derbyshire (Championship Meadowland Course with American-type Greens). Refreshments will be in the On-Site Kingfisher Restaurant. Entry Fee is: - 60 per Competitor which will cover all of the above ** plus enough to buy some additional golfing prizes.

BobColby,
Have sent you a mail, but just to let you know your cheque has been received - I will be forwarding it onto Mark in the next day or so.
If the rest of those wishing to attend could send their cheques to me as soon as possible (made payable to M Sutton of course), I will then send them onto Mark in batches.
Thanks
Ian

Just done the last 9 on the Internet - did OK but shouldn't have tried to carry the water on the 17th. Second nine in the morning, Mark? Not a lot of time pm for last group, particularly if they go for a swim! Get the feeling that the best putter will win. Great progress!

A solid putting (and chipping) game helps on ANY course, Eric... and hey, even a 10 year old can break the course record "online" - tiz a lot different with a REAL club in yer hands!! :o)

I would love to play but
1) Bob Colby and MG have seen how badly I play, I have no handicap, however my 13 year old has a handicap of 12 can I use him as a sub if I get tired after the 9 holes in the morning ? I did win one hole against BobColby and MG, strangely using MG's Mums driver, don't ask:-)
2) Martini and Choccie are trying to get me into their Longcliffe Golf Buggy Grand Prix and 12 hole clock golf tournament!
decisions decisions:-)

Bully,
No subs allowed, I'm afraid. But you are welcome to join us and play off 28 (the maximum Men's handicap permitted by the 'R&A'), if you want to? Howzat? BTW Chockie is caddying for me and Martini has the cushy job of being my ball finder for the day!! :o)

But how about the ladies? This is very male-oriented. The ladies are very welcome with max. handicap 36. Bust of 36 also very welcome!

Looks as if that's put paid to any prospect of women signing up for the day - I think it would be a great shame if they didn't think we would welcome them coming along to show us blokes how well they can play!!
Anyway, I can vouch for Bullie's prowess on the Golf Course - and I vote we make him play off scratch ('n sniff).
Has anyone checked to see if Pinsticker is interested - he's got plenty of time on his hands :)
Been out of the loop a bit - so should I be sending you some money?

Simple resolution is to have a separate ladies competition. Surprised at your male chauvenism, leader! Suspect dynamite is so-called because of her golfing prowess. And who's to say what alias Annika uses; sure she'll be happy to play off the whites and give the Shark shots - sure she would hammer the White Shark at any time. So lets have some editing on the top spiel!
[You can tell I've got my top two holdings in the Shares 10 Rockets, AZM and ASC. See my new thread.]

It would be great to have a Ladies comp as well.
Mike
PS: If none put their name down put me and MG down for the Ladies comp then, MG knows a few lady golfers to make a foursome!

I've got some great outfits for us to share - we could have a cross-dressers competition as well. We'll show those boys how to do it.

I have no objection to MG and Bullie playing and acting as ladies at the golf day . It will make a nice change from watching them slobber over beer and boobs
