He is 15 years old, most people by that age should be able to think for themselves. The teachers warned him and he did not listen. He has hopefully took on board that some people know more than him. And that if he goes on holiday and the sun is shining he will either put on lotion or cover up or stay in the shade. As for his mother trying to defend him, no comment.

When I first came to Australia I did get burnt by the sun, not badly but, being a very fair skinned Scot I didn't have to be in the sun long before I started to burn.
I have never seen sunburn leave such distinct edges except where clothing had been worn, if your skin is exposed to too much sun and you are moving around the burning is even, I have seen literally hundreds of cases of sunburn, I have never seen burns like this.The distinct circular burns on both biceps look strange for sunburn, the burns on his collarbone area also have very clear ''Édges '', it just does not look like sunburn to me. As far as I can see his lower back and his ''Chest '' are not burnt ??. Maybe he was abducted by Aliens, can't think of any other explanation.

So what! Most English people have got sunburt at some time in their life. The boy needs to toughen up, and quick.

That's not a sunburn. Its a chemical burn. It follows a pour pattern, instead of a wide-area homogeneous exposure pattern.

I know burns. I worked with them. Those are burns fella, shut gob if illl-informed.

If homeboy had put on "any" sunscreen, the most common areas are the exact places he is burned. Those are some pretty sharp demarcations for someone who did not have any protection, considering his neck.

When I was in the US Navy we had a guy go on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier and take off his shirt to work on a plane when we were around the equator. He got hand sized blisters on his back.

PRIVATE-equity firm Helios Investment Partners has about $800m to invest in businesses in Africa and is looking to partner UK Oil companies looking for co-investors in the rest of Africa.

The London-based, Africa-focused private equity firm said it was well placed to share knowledge with UK companies that wanted to share the risk when deploying funds in the rest of Africa. Helios Investment Partners said they were looking for financial investments in oil explorers in Tunisia and Egypt .

In its latest investment, eight-year-old Helios Investment Partners this week announced it was co-investing $276m in a consortium with Vitol, the world’s biggest independent oil trader.

The consortium reached an agreement to buy a majority stake in the downstream business of JSE-listed Nigeria-based Oando, which has more than 400 service stations in Nigeria and 84,000 tonnes of storage.

In May, Helios Investment Partners invested $100m for a 12.4% stake in Africa Oil, a Canadian oil and gas company with assets in Kenya and Ethiopia. The company is investing its Fund III, which closed this year and raised $1.1bn.
There is a rumoured investment in UK explorer Independent Resources who have just started a mapping programme on its Ksar Hadada development where there has multiple interest from local and global players.

Following these recent investments its chief operating officer and partner, Henry Obi, said the firm still had notable capital to co-invest with South African firms looking to expand in the rest of Africa.

"We have a significant amount of money left in the fund. I would say over $800m. This will be invested over the next four years," said Mr Obi, who was in SA to meet investment bankers and South African companies looking to do deals in the rest of Africa.

"We are looking for South African companies to partner with them across the whole of Africa in any sector."
One of the companies that Helios has co-invested with before is Shanduka Group, a black-controlled company previously owned by Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa but merged with businessman Phuthuma Nhleko’s investment firm Pembani.

In 2011 an affiliate of Helios Towers bought Nigerian telecoms firm Multilinks from SA’s state-owned phone operator, Telkom.

In 2013 Helios Investment Partners invested in unsecured credit provider Bayport after financial services firm Transaction Capital exited the business.

Mr Obi said Helios Investment Partners had also co-invested with family offices from SA and funds of funds, but was willing to do more.

Helios Investment Partners is also raising $300m in a side-fund, which will be earmarked exclusively for oil and gas investments. It hopes to close it by the end of this year.
In the oil and gas sector, it is also invested in SA’s Impact Oil and Gas, which is exploring off the coast of the Cape.

The Greece Bailout Explained




It is a slow day in a little Greek Village. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.




On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the village, stops at the local hotel and lays a €100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. The owner gives him some keys and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the €100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.




The butcher takes the €100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the €100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the €100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the taverna.




The publican slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit. The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the €100 note.




The hotel proprietor then places the €100 note back on the counter so the rich traveller will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveller comes down the stairs, picks up the €100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town.




No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole village is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism.



And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how the Greek bailout package works.

It works because asll the people in the circle owed money to each other. They could just as easily have forgiven the debts. The note was a useful mechanism.

Except it doesent.

In the real Big Fat Greek Bailout, no money actually changes hands in the sense that money moves around the economy.

It is simply created by magic, moved around a few computers, and suddenly the bankrupt banks are solvent again...hurrah, long live the bankers!


But in reality, this non money has to be repaid using real money, productive, taxed money, earned by real people using the sweat of their brows.

The Queen was doing her salute in 1933 before people knew what the Nazis were like. However, by 1938 it was clear what being a Nazi entailed.

Francois Hollande Calls For Eurozone Government

French President Francois Hollande has called for the creation of a eurozone government and for people to renew their faith in the European project.

His comments, in an opinion piece in a French newspaper, revive an idea originally put forward by another Frenchman, former European Commission chief Jacques Delors.

Writing in the Journal du Dimanche newspaper, Mr Hollande proposed "a government of the eurozone (with) a specific budget as well as a parliament to ensure its democratic control".

Mr Delors' idea for closer integration caused controversy in Britain when it was proposed more than two decades ago, leading The Sun newspaper to famously declare on its front page: "Up Yours Delors".

Faith in the European project has been weakened by the Greek crisis, which has seen the country teeter on the brink of financial collapse, needing a number of bailouts to prop up its economy.

Long queues are expected outside the country's banks on Monday, when they will open for the first time in three weeks.

Ahead of talks on a third bailout for Greece, Mr Hollande called for a renewal of faith in Europe.

He said the 19 member states of the eurozone had opted to become part of the monetary union because it was in their interests and no one had "taken the responsibility of getting out of it".

"This choice calls for a strengthened organisation, an advance guard of the countries who will decide on it," he said.

Currently, eurozone members are united in an informal body, the Eurogroup.

This is made up of each country's finance minister, and is presided over by Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem.

Despite the eurozone's current troubles, Mr Hollande went on to claim in the article that "what threatens us is not an excess of Europe but its insufficiency".

He said Europe had let its institutions become weaker and admitted the European Union's 28 members were "struggling to find common ground to move forward".

"Parliaments remain too far away from decisions," Mr Hollande said.

"And people are turning away after having been bypassed so much."

The French leader said populist movements had seized upon disenchantment with European institutions and were taking issue with Europe because "they are scared of the world, because they want divisions, walls and fences to return".
