THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Rees Mogg is great, but not a PM. He is known as the honourable member for the early 20th century.

A better time.

I'm thinking of having an online petition to keep us in Europe , losing to Iceland wasn't fair so when we get a replay which is only fair we might just beat them . Roy won't be there of course but come on just sign on here . We haven't got a clue how to win a cup by England .com .

Max,

Bring back the Empire.

I watched Nigel Farrage give a live interview with Fox News last night from Brussels. I must say that he was very impressive with his answers. He didn't hesitate, despite some curved balls. Very direct and clear. No waffling like most politicians tend to do. If American, he would clean up Clinton and Trump. Unlike here, Americans like straight talkers.

Fred1new - 28 Jun 2016 09:02 - 71950 of 81564

Vicky!

I remember the Odeon's Saturday mornings film club 65 years ago.

The time set was similar to what many have to-day.

Farage's view of the world is seen through the bottom of a glass and has simplistic appeal.

Has appeal to Football hooligans.

jimmy b - 28 Jun 2016 09:04 - 71951 of 81564

That's a great idea VIC ,i don't give a hoot about football ,load of overpaid chavs couldn't even beat some electricians and taxi drivers.
But your idea is good and fair ,surely we would beat them if we just played again and again.

TANKER - 28 Jun 2016 15:32 - 71952 of 81564

do the labour mps not understand the voters who used to vote for them now will not while they . think more in helping migrants than their own people .not racist just fact
charity beings at home what about the homeless brits the brits who can not get a job when thousands of cheap working migrants are coming to the uk

yes look after your own first then help others not the other way round
the low paid british workers will not vote for your policies fact
you need to take a look in the mirror and look at idiots

TANKER - 28 Jun 2016 15:33 - 71953 of 81564

wales are still in and I am welsh well my grand father and dad was mother English

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 15:39 - 71954 of 81564

MrT - do you not think the argument valid that british youth is unwilling to undertake low-paid and menial tasks that are on offer in many areas of the service and other industries?

MaxK - 28 Jun 2016 15:47 - 71955 of 81564

Why are british yoof unwilling to undertake low-paid and menial tasks?

TANKER - 28 Jun 2016 15:56 - 71956 of 81564

cynic I will give you the answer of fact migrants live in caravans on farms 6 to a caravan or rent a homes and fill them sleeping like tramps .
down the road 15 polish living in a 3 bedroom semi driving next door to have the police they ever other night noise and abuse .

get out and go to boston lincs and spend a couple of weeks their you will then have a different view .

and I no a lot of people who did work on the local farm till the land owner employed a migrant gang leader a vile man who is an abusive bastard

TANKER - 28 Jun 2016 15:59 - 71957 of 81564

not racist but if you do need a builder be aware of migrants doing the job and never seen again they are going to rip you off with a poor job covered by a lick of paint
dyor you pay for what you get via a proper builder who lives local and will not vanish in to the mist

TANKER - 28 Jun 2016 16:37 - 71958 of 81564

all in work and out of work benefits to migrants should be stopped before any cuts to services and taxes rises . we should not be paying for big companies to pay low pay and the uk tax payers make up their wages to pay rent and send home uk family allowances to Poland

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 16:39 - 71959 of 81564

Its not only a matter of the youth...What about older workers?...Probably
they don't get the chance, because most of these jobs are advertised abroad.

Its simpler and cheaper for these gangmasters on the farms, to fill these jobs
with foreign workers, they house them in multiple occupation houses/ farm
buildings, taking their accommodation cost out of their workers wages, so they
make money from the workers themselves and the accommodation.

TANKER - 28 Jun 2016 16:39 - 71960 of 81564

labour party all washed up finished we all said corbyn would kill the party

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 16:42 - 71961 of 81564

MrT - you have not answered my question at all

fwiw, when we had major work carried out at a property in london, it went out to tender and it was won by a very good and competent company of polish builders
the whole operation was overseen by my architect, and we had few issues

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 16:43 - 71962 of 81564

GB - i actually cited (and intentionally) jobs in the service industries
itinerant farm labour has been a matter of fact for centuries both in uk and abroad
