THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Thats fantastic Alan,, being able to play like that in a dress,,imagine what you could do playing in cricket whites..

wilbs - 17 Jul 2005 18:54 - 731 of 81564

Al's team...

hewittalan6 - 17 Jul 2005 20:01 - 732 of 81564

Aww, Jimmy. The dress aint no problem!! It's the hooped skirts getting in the way of my bat, and the umpires complaining of the damage my stilletos do to the wicket that makes it a drag (sic).

Wilbs,
Why have all those blokes in your picture got 2 empty hot water bottles tied to their chests?

wilbs - 17 Jul 2005 20:27 - 734 of 81564

I think its a kinky thing Al or they are chest protectors incase the ball wacks you in the chest.

bosley - 18 Jul 2005 12:35 - 735 of 81564

it's for balance, you know, like a mouse's tail..........

wilbs - 18 Jul 2005 12:54 - 736 of 81564

It looks hot out there bos, I think they are water bottles so they can have a dring if they get thirsty. Bitty.

Looks like Leon Spinks !

hewittalan6 - 19 Jul 2005 08:57 - 742 of 81564

Its a lonely world. I visit loads of threads, but on most of them there are so few other posters (SEO excepted).
I think there is a secret cabalist sect out there, seeking world domination by avoiding anything I ever invest in. ITR and PCM have perhaps 2 or 3 contributors and my own personal favourite share (BBC) has become my very own Talk To Yourself Thread.
I am so lonely on those boards chatting away to myself, I am starting to feel like a radio 1 DJ.
Now that really is perverse.

hewittalan6 - 19 Jul 2005 09:08 - 745 of 81564

Been there, done that!! In the empty quarter of Abu Dhabi. Lived and worked there for a while and beleive me, during Ramadan, that is the nightlife!!! Abu Dhabi at that time of year can make Mars look like Las Vegas!!

al, keep the faith. for many , many , many years the seo thread was a lonesome place with myself, driver, and andysmith posting. and then it started to happen . first 1 newcomer, then a 2nd and then more, until one day i came home from work to find nearly 300 posts in a day. alas, many have gone but some still remain. alas , some you wish would go but they remain, haunting us.

I feel jinxed at times--a few weeks ago I posted a new thread on AGCERT--ACG as I was told by those in the city that this is a share of the future. next day it had disappeared! now yesterday I posted a new thread on IG Index-IGG and now that one has disappeared! good share and tipped in the Telegraph today but I must be doing something wrong or it's a conspiracy!! Don't feel lonely Alan--we're all watching you!!

proptrade - 19 Jul 2005 14:43 - 748 of 81564

so woeful!

the trick is to post a few times to get it going! saying that i have only started one ongoing thread (SEY) so what the bloody hell do i know!

this will cheer you up!
