I would've thought that your friend will probably be back in the money over the next day or two before it turns back down again.

The apparent inability to change the time zone of those charts from GMT to BST really frustrates the *&^% out of me.
Can't you send your friend Kathy a snotty email, MM?

MM,
I just find it incredible that you can adjust the settings for different time zones across the world including GMT + 6:00 hours for Novosibirisk, Astana, Dhaka and Sri Jayawardenapura (which is reknowned for being populated by currency traders), yet you can't adjust it for the 6 months of the year when the majority of the planet enjoys daylight saving time.
Rant over.

Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte
"Kotte, pronounced court-tay, is a new city. The name has been changed to Sri Jayawardenapura to perpetuate the name of the first President of Sri Lanka Mr. Jayawardena. It is located about 8 km from the border of Colombo 8. The parliament of Sri Lanka has been moved here from its historical site on the water front in downtown Colombo. This was done as an effort on the part of the Government to ease the congestion and overcrowding in the city of Colombo. The Overseas Childrens school is located in this area. As a result many expatriates choose to live in this suburb to avoid the daily commute from the city to the school which can take between 45 minutes to one hour at peak traffic time."
Probably more currency traders there than you think ;-)

I'd lost all of my Powercharts settings this morning. Anyone else? I'm not sure if it's because of the recent change or if it's something to do with my interwebby viral security wotsit possibly deleting my chocolate chip cookie thingies.

Might have been the wrong decision to go long, still hanging in but fairly tight stop just below 9700...

Managed to scrape +20 from 2 cable longs, hard work though. Yen short still looks in trouble and think I'm making it worse by adding further up.

Thanks for that foale.
I upgraded my McAfee at the weekend to the 2007 version. When it did a virus scan it pulled out around 85 cookies which it described as unwanted. I'm now wondering if it doesn't like the FX Powercharts cookie.

hilary - don't know if McAfee does the same, but Norton has an option to "tidy up unwanted files" on a regular basis - this clears out browser cache, cookies etc. It can be configured to ignore, for example, cookies if you so wish. Worth checking on McAfee perhaps.

Thanks, hotei, but at the moment I haven't worked out how to change anything to do with the 2007 McAfee. It seems to have lost some of the user options that were in the 2006 version.

Cable 1.9760 but a possibility of a break up to 1.9815 ish if that breaks.
Inflation in the UK not gone away on the basis of one month weak retail sales figures. Also $ strength going to be a tap opening very slowly in fits and starts.
Currentrly long...with an eye on a down break of 1.9700 as a stop

Traded like a complete tit today and sitting on some uncomfortable positions. Just goes to show complacency rears its ugly head when you least expect it, this following an excellent two weeks to put today's trading into context. Rather hoping that the minutes tomorrow will dispel any hint of further interest rises anytime soon.

Closed my long +22, having seen it +40 at one point. Will wait for tomorrow's minutes before any new positions taken out.
