Choccy

you are getting excellant at taking the last few pips on a move...
how are you managing that...?

chocolat - 12 Jun 2007 20:13 - 8051 of 11056

Sheer good luck when I got home from work and didn't water the pots first :)

It really was on the last strike, as it turned out - didn't even have the chart open at the time.

mg - 12 Jun 2007 20:36 - 8052 of 11056

I'm nursing losses - didn't close on the rise - hoping it was a blip - out of the money but hoping the wind has changed in my direction - that's quento's solar wind, of course. Stops in at 800 for unpleasant losses of 90 - so hoping that doesn't happen.

Just counted 3 "hopings" - very scientific :(

Seymour Clearly - 12 Jun 2007 20:37 - 8053 of 11056

Well mg I'm watching it fall here hoping it doesn't go too far down - I hate to lose a profit but it's better than losing capital.

goforit - 12 Jun 2007 21:00 - 8054 of 11056

CC - Use prorealtime, not free but similar charts to cmc which I like and excellent alert system. For what I can see fx power charts are limited on what I can do with their indicators. Anyway good luck with fx. Have you looked at trading US, following that thread with interest

Seymour Clearly - 12 Jun 2007 22:08 - 8055 of 11056

Closed earlier +10, thought it's bound to get stopped out overnight so might as well take a little bit off the table now. Not one of my better day's work :-)

Harlosh - 12 Jun 2007 23:25 - 8056 of 11056

Dollar/Yen is well worth keeping an eye on me thinks.

Another failed attempt to break January's high will see it tumble I suspect - it may have already started so I've shorted at 66.

chocolat - 12 Jun 2007 23:30 - 8057 of 11056

Still half-expecting an attempt closer to 122, H.
Not convinced it's a short yet.

Harlosh - 12 Jun 2007 23:59 - 8058 of 11056

You could very well be right Choccie - I know I may be a little early but not convinced it's going to make another serious attempt - a bit of divergence on the Macd and stochs has tempted me short for the time being though.

Welcome CC.

Hello again Goforit.

Harlosh - 13 Jun 2007 05:50 - 8059 of 11056

and indeed I was a little premature.

CC - 13 Jun 2007 07:15 - 8060 of 11056

short at 122.16 here - looking for the fade back below 122 and then see what happens

mg - 13 Jun 2007 08:38 - 8061 of 11056

Closed out one of the shorts for 40 - leaving the other one to see if there is more in the tank. A long and tense wait to get back in the money so stop moved down to entry to protect profits.

mg - 13 Jun 2007 09:34 - 8062 of 11056

Managed another 50 from the remaining position. Probably more in the tank but relieved to come out in the money

chocolat - 13 Jun 2007 09:36 - 8063 of 11056

Nice one meggers :)

Seymour Clearly - 13 Jun 2007 09:56 - 8064 of 11056

Excellent mg. Pleased it was profitable for you as well :-)

Must admit I'm looking to the short side but may be too busy to do more than watch over the next couple of days.

mg - 13 Jun 2007 10:19 - 8065 of 11056

Cheers guys - must admit that I nearly bottled it last night but managed to put enough "hopings" in to last through to this morning's jobs announcement.

Looking at the YEN/USD as a potential short - but it seems to be running on aircraft fuel at the moment.

chocolat - 13 Jun 2007 10:51 - 8066 of 11056

Well I've stuck a little pinkie in just now :S

MightyMicro - 13 Jun 2007 11:38 - 8067 of 11056

mg: Well, I'm "hoping" that you'll buy us all a drink, although I fear Choccie's attention may be elsewhere right now . . .

mg - 13 Jun 2007 11:59 - 8068 of 11056

choccie
I will refrain from the obvious response (unlike MM) but I'm hoping it gives the required effect. I've gone short from 12244 and 12233 but decided not to stick my little pinkie in anything - I'm "hoping" that I don't need to do that. :)

I've got a cork ready - as a surrogate to my pinkie.

foale - 13 Jun 2007 15:53 - 8069 of 11056

I was expecting a few posts... "I went long Cable 1.9683 "

Unfortunately I cant post that...
