How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Morning Steve

Thanks and will bear that in mind. I'll keep an eye on it after lunch.

bakko - 18 Mar 2006 10:58 - 9420 of 10502

Just showing some of the highlights of SA this morning and replayed the one where Boucher got it right in the goolies and went down in a heap.

Brought tears to my eyes even though we're a thousands of miles away!

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 13:58 - 9421 of 10502

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 14:17 - 9423 of 10502

Totally agree with you. I'm beginning to wonder whether they're playing at home at all.

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 14:19 - 9424 of 10502

Maybe they've just read my post cos New just scored and now 2-1

WOODIE - 19 Mar 2006 14:30 - 9425 of 10502

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 14:33 - 9426 of 10502

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 14:47 - 9428 of 10502

There's our predicted goal as Liv make it 3-1

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 14:49 - 9429 of 10502

Well done on your easy money but I missed out as didn't get a trade in at all

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 14:57 - 9430 of 10502

Just layed Liv at 1.02 hoping that New score with more than 30mins of the game left to go. If not then only a very small loss.

WOODIE - 19 Mar 2006 15:00 - 9431 of 10502

bakko the tide has turned in the overs market for the pool games wed 5-1 was a turning point for now, a few weeks ago there games were dull and have been priced as such given great odds in the overs market for the last 2 games, this will change soon and come back to the right odds be priced.

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 15:07 - 9432 of 10502

Do you know what the overs odds were today and what they were 3 games ago?

WOODIE - 19 Mar 2006 16:26 - 9433 of 10502

bakko sorry went out was only interested in pool game over 2.5 was 2.6 was the best price i got matched

Harlosh - 19 Mar 2006 17:17 - 9434 of 10502

Afternoon chaps. Surely draw price is a gift in the Chelsea game. Anyone taken it?

bakko - 19 Mar 2006 17:22 - 9435 of 10502

Your draw almost came. Drogba's just had a goal disallowed for handball

Harlosh - 19 Mar 2006 17:25 - 9436 of 10502

Hi Bak. Yep, I'm more p*ssed off than Mourhino. LOL

Harlosh - 19 Mar 2006 17:26 - 9437 of 10502

Don't really want Chelsea to equalise too soon though.
