World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

In a class, the teacher is asking everyone what jobs their parents have...

Teacher to kid: and what does your dad do?

Jimmy: he's a stripper in a gay bar and often lets other men touch his privates

After class, teacher takes Jimmy to one side...

Teacher: is that true about your dad?

Jimmy: no, he plays football for england but I was too embarassed to say

Milner----Defoe.now theres a shock!!

Chris Carson - 23 Jun 2010 15:24 - 951 of 1154

Tabby - You do speak some shite, but every credit great goal by Defoe, hope you had him as first goalscorer :o))))

Clubman3509 - 23 Jun 2010 15:53 - 952 of 1154

One nil, one nil, come on England show them what the Christians can do.

tabasco - 23 Jun 2010 15:53 - 953 of 1154

Christhe shite I speak is nearly always proved true just a small punt on 3-0...have you been watching players off the ball?I think Rooney has a problemhope I am wrong

Clubman3509 - 23 Jun 2010 15:54 - 954 of 1154

Go walk the bitch Tabby

Chris Carson - 23 Jun 2010 16:03 - 955 of 1154

Needs to score Tabby, that's his only problem as far as I can see! He looks a lot happier and his inter play with Gerrard is classic. Referee is shite, no change there then!

tabasco - 23 Jun 2010 16:53 - 956 of 1154

Comfortable windisciplined performancevery little luck in front of goalworth more than the one goal

Dil - 23 Jun 2010 16:56 - 957 of 1154

Wrong half of the draw now tabby , Germany next and winners will probably end up playing the Argies in last 8.

tabasco - 23 Jun 2010 17:06 - 958 of 1154

Not necessary Dilbut if it does become Germany.bring it on
ChrisI still believe Rooney was carry a minor problemhe was standing a few yards from opposition defenders on many occasionsand still never shut down.always tell tell signs on fitness

Treblewide - 23 Jun 2010 17:14 - 959 of 1154

there is no way england will get past germany and argentina......today they played a lot better against a mediocre team and finally they showed a bit of passion.

they are just not good enough to live with a team like argentina......i think everyone knows that.

still much better than previous 2 games but as the boyo says now in the wrong half of the draw.........will need to pray for a germany defeat tonight if yer english

Chris Carson - 23 Jun 2010 17:32 - 960 of 1154

We'll see Treb, as a Scotsman I wouldn't expect nothing less than negative vibes from you and your kin, today wasn't a great performance admittedly, but hey it's nice to be underdogs may just relieve some pressure!

Clubman3509 - 23 Jun 2010 17:33 - 961 of 1154

Why is jockland not in the world cup

Treblewide - 23 Jun 2010 17:42 - 962 of 1154

cc nothing to do with me being scottish......i am a neutral so i can actually be balanced...if you think you will beat germany and the argies good on you...lets wait and see.....from early on looked like a brazil argentina final...dont see anything today to change that

clubman we are not there as we are not good enough

Chris Carson - 23 Jun 2010 17:56 - 963 of 1154

Treb, I live in Aberdeen. If you as a Scotsman are not hoping England get knocked out by ANYONE, then you are in a majority of ONE! If the English up there game they can beat Germany no bother. Argentina on form todate I agree are favourites.

Treblewide - 23 Jun 2010 18:09 - 964 of 1154

cc i must admit i dont want them to win it but it does not mean i am blinkered not so much the team it is the media/commentary....that irish/scouse idiot today was driving me mental

Treblewide - 23 Jun 2010 18:14 - 965 of 1154

cc....just hope win or loose the germany game both sets of fans behave...glad to see no trouble so far.

required field - 24 Jun 2010 12:11 - 966 of 1154

I think that our form is coming back....bit by bit....the England lads missed a lot of chances...the Germans are going to be tough....but I think we can win, this is not a great german team by any means....and we will need to score several times no doubt....forget about the latter stages at the moment and let's take this : one game at a time.....the south americans are doing well and we might see Uruguay in the semis unless....the USA....I think they will beat Ghana.
The african nations have done pretty much nothing except the flurry against France to no avail.....they have too many participants....and just don't perform....unless Ghana pull off a surprise : their quota must be reduced !.....
The South Americans are pretty impressive so far....not one defeat and will be pressing for an extra spot in future world cups.....

HARRYCAT - 24 Jun 2010 12:55 - 967 of 1154

My Messi bet for the Golden Boot isn't looking too clever atm. Hope you are right about the S. Americans, rf!
