Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.
You can check it out on www.uk-wire.com, and its own site of www.victoriaoilandgas.com.
It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(500m+) in the not to distant future.
As i stated earlier in the post, Drilling is almost complete so it won't be long to Lift Off?

I totally agree with Confidant.
EK should have been banned ages ago. It's individuals like EK who encourage traders instead of investors. I also noticed one of the Pump & Dump brigade has joined us - time for a swift exit! Good luck all.

It's just drifting after the big rise last week, Olami. Profit taking and dips until people buy back in. Seems to be a lot of buying whenever the price drops below 100. Lower volumes than before. Quite large spread.
The value of the assets is much greater than the value of the company at present. The thing holding it back is the risk (mainly due to location and customers) and uncertainty until next news.

From the Octobers Final result RNS.
As well as the VSP we are also awaiting Final results of Advanced Flow Rates
to give us a more Comprehensive understanding of the potential reserves for
West Medvezhye. We expect the results to be ready for the End of the Year,
during which time we will have began mobilisation for the drilling of 2 further exploration wells in different locations of the block.
"So less than 4 weeks"
In the mean time a updating of Tamdykol is imminent.

Price starting to look a little better. Seems the day traders have this one at the moment.
If the price of Oil spikes up and Im sure it will, it could be a very dangerous game trading in and out.
cheers GF.

Victoria Oil & Gas Plc
Project Portfolio Update - Q4 2005
* Kemerkol Oil Project, Kazakhstan - contract signed for re-entry of
three shut-in wells to commence in December and drilling of twin well in January
* West Medvezhye Gas and Condensate Project, Russia - contract for
mobilisation of Wells 106 and 103 agreed with drilling expected to commence Q1
2006
* Tamdykol Oil Project, Kazakhstan - First exploratory well (1E)
completed by farm-out partners NEK and extension requested to fund and operate
10 wells (4 agreed under current farm-out terms)
The Board of Victoria Oil & Gas Plc ('Victoria' or 'the Company')(tic:VOG), the
AIM-quoted oil and gas company focused in the Former Soviet Union, today
announces updates on its gas/gas condensate and oil projects for the final
quarter of 2005.
Kemerkol Oil Project, Atyrau Oblast of Kazakhstan
A contract has now been signed with oil services company Smith International for
the re-entry of three shut-in wells during December 2005 and the drilling of a
single twin well in January 2006. Initial production capacity from these four
wells is expected to be around 500 barrels of oil per day with first production
expected in Q1 2006.
During 2006, Victoria intends to drill and complete a further seven new wells on
the licence block, with the potential to take production up to 1,800 barrels per
day by the end of December 2006. The Company is also finalising details for a
full 3D seismic survey to cover the entire 65 square kilometre licence area,
which will increase Victoria's understanding of the potential at Kemerkol in
addition to the resource already delineated.
West Medvezhye Gas/Gas Condensate Project, Western Siberia, Russia
Mobilisation of Wells 106 and 103 is scheduled for December 2005 with drilling
commencing Q1 2006 following agreement with oil and gas project managers Atlas
International. Under the terms of the Minimum Work Programme, a total of two
further wells will be drilled at the licence by mid-2006.
Well 106 is an appraisal well that will be drilled in the proximity of Well 104
to prove further resources following confirmation by international reservoir
auditors DeGolyer & MacNaughton ('D&M') of preliminary expected recoverable
resources for the field of 500 billion cubic feet this November (for further
information please refer to the Company's website). Well 103 is a second
exploration well to test a separate structure on the licence block, to the south
west of Well 104. Well testing equipment for Well 104 has been acquired by
Victoria and is currently en-route to the site for testing to begin at the
beginning of next year.
Tamdykol Oil Project, Aktyubinsk Oblast of Kazakhstan
Well 1E, the first of four exploration wells to be drilled at Tamdykol, was
completed to a depth of 1,098 metres and was put on test by NEK Service LLP ('
NEK'), a local company with whom Victoria signed a farm-out agreement earlier
this year to finance and conduct the Tamdykol Minimum Work Programme. Testing of
the Jurassic intervals intersected is currently on-going, but results from the
petrophysical logs and subsequent well tests have so far not indicated the
presence of commercial volumes of hydrocarbons. Following analysis of the
subsurface data obtained from drilling, NEK have proposed a revision of the
farm-out agreement to increase the number of wells to be drilled from four to
ten. The proposal from NEK also provides that the term of the agreement be
extended from five years to six and a half years in exchange for their
commitment to fund and drill additional wells.
Final results of well test and signing of the revised farm-out agreement are
expected in December.
Speaking on the projects earlier today, Executive Director William Kelleher
said, 'With our significant gas discovery at West Medvezhye and developments at
both Kemerkol and Tamdykol, Victoria is finishing 2005 in a strong operational
position. Rig availability for West Medvezhye has been better than anticipated
and we look forward to D&M reassessing the resource volumes following the
further drilling.
'The signing of the contract with Smith for Kemerkol brings our goal of
near-term production and cash flow another step closer. We are on target to have
oil production in 2006 and Kemerkol has the potential to become a significant
cash generator. Meanwhile, the data provided from the first exploration well at
Tamdykol has greatly enhanced our knowledge of the subsurface and we look
forward to being able to confirm an agreement to extend the farm-out agreement
to ten wells as per NEK's request.'

No, Cellby, you've got it about right. These guys basically did a "project portfolio update, rahter than gave just an update on Tamdykol which basically missed. i.e they were trying to hide the bad news. Took the market a while to realise but I think that is what happened.
Share likely to trade on very little volume in coming months and trade down i.e no good news likely until Kermokol produces some decent cashflow. Plenty of these sort of companies trading on implied NPV discounts

entering now ? we need more news to get this moving. Sure the NPV might be 150p or 500p as some would make it but when does the profit roll .... years out. Cash reqd for capex no doubt so company needs to hold share price up - re todays announcement. Short -term this stock needs good exploration news or a placing done with seroius institutions to enable further development and confidence. Long-term, and I mean long-term does not look too bad but to get this moving the share may have to many people in waiting for the quick buck.

For interest to VOG holders, no position myself.
"In the same sector, Victoria Oil & Gas dropped 5p to 100p amid talk that the group is looking to raise 7m via a equity fundraising. Word has it that Victoria was putting the finishing touches together last night for a placing priced at 100p. A decision by the group to raise new money from the City would certainly be a smart move, given the 100 per cent jump in the value of its share over the past month."

If you missed this - the next Cairn might just be Chaco - it has the prospect of doing what VOG has done over last few weeks - although a risky play - it could go to 70 - 80p over next 12 months from its current day price of 6/7.
Some good analysis done by others on the Chaco thread - apologies for GOT
