VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field,and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.

It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(�500m+) in the not to distant future.

No, Cellby, you've got it about right. These guys basically did a "project portfolio update, rahter than gave just an update on Tamdykol which basically missed. i.e they were trying to hide the bad news. Took the market a while to realise but I think that is what happened.

Share likely to trade on very little volume in coming months and trade down i.e no good news likely until Kermokol produces some decent cashflow. Plenty of these sort of companies trading on implied NPV discounts

do you think it worth entering the market short term with all the movement we had today?

I'm thinking there might be some T trades settling at a loss after buying in at the recent spike. They've often recovered after being sub 1 pound.....

entering now ? we need more news to get this moving. Sure the NPV might be 150p or 500p as some would make it but when does the profit roll .... years out. Cash reqd for capex no doubt so company needs to hold share price up - re todays announcement. Short -term this stock needs good exploration news or a placing done with seroius institutions to enable further development and confidence. Long-term, and I mean long-term does not look too bad but to get this moving the share may have to many people in waiting for the quick buck.

Oh dear Mr Mole and I got our timing badly wrong on this one bought right at the top--just have to sit and wait now for some more good news!!

Word has it that Victoria was putting the finishing touches together last night for a placing priced at 100p. A decision by the group to raise new money from the City would certainly be a smart move, given the 100 per cent jump in the value of its share over the past month."

If you missed this - the next Cairn might just be Chaco - it has the prospect of doing what VOG has done over last few weeks - although a risky play - it could go to 70 - 80p over next 12 months from its current day price of 6/7.

Further to press speculation, the Company can confirm that it is seeking to make
an equity fundraising for additional working capital. The pricing of the
fundraising and amount to be raised have yet to be determined. Further details
will be announced as soon as appropriate.

Great time to top up. Added a shed load more at this lower price. Should get good news as early as January.
