........."And so to our traditional "wild card". Pipex Communications, formerly known as GX Networks, is a telecoms company created by one of the entrepreneurs behind Ukbetting, Peter Dubens. It has been assembled from six smaller players. The ambitious company is generating cash for the first time but is still not widely followed in the City. It could be an undiscovered gem".
Very true Woody. I have believed for a considerable period of time that Pipex are a very attractive to Institutions and hence the SP seems to be held back whilst these guys get onboard. I note a 500k protected trade has been worked through today at a premium to the offer at 7.77p. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see another RNS in the near future announcing another significant holding. Eventually they will get going and 7.5p will be a distant memory!
Had a dream, last night, that Pipex's SP put on a penny for each goal they put past Norwich yesterday.....6 for those who missed the result. An SP of 13p..now wouldn't that be wonderful.
Management can only exercise (some of) their options if the price is 12p or above - the options matured in April this year if I remember correctly. So I think we'll see the price rise above that level before the year is out (IMO).
