AFC Energy plc (AFC)

greekman - 04 Feb 2016 13:37 - 1195 of 1468

This morning energy company SSE has said it expects to close three out of four units at it's Fiddler's Ferry coal-fired power plant in Cheshire by 1 April.

The power plant provides two gigawatts of power, to the north-west of England, which is enough to supply around two million homes with electricity. No doubt others will follow adding to the current ever increasing risk that there will be an energy shortage by next winter.

Whilst I appreciate that AFC are not looking to produce 1 gigawatt of power till 2020 and that is not including the UK (allowing for their statement that they expect to exceed that) no doubt production of cleaner cheaper energy is becoming more and more urgent.

At the same time it has been announced that the biggest wind farm has been the go ahead, coupled of course with a massive increase in guaranteed future pricing

All this has to be feed for AFC, but as yet fuel cells still do not get much of a mention.

Who doubts that this has to change and will change due to public pressure of paying way over the odds for energy due to subsidising such as nuclear, wind and solar power.

We as investors, especially those of us who bought the dream of AFC many years ago have to be patient (not one of my attributes, but I am trying) as although the end of the rainbow is not yet in sight, the clouds are clearing and the forecast as far as AFC is concerned looks very bright indeed.

What boat ?.....I can pick them up at almost the offer price right now....I wonder how many sold at 25p which is the highest bid it went to....perhaps not many....the market is hopeless at the moment unless you watch it all the time, in that case you might be able to make some small profits ....

RNS out (but not on MoneyAm till 0715hrs).

AFC Energy (AIM: AFC), the industrial fuel cell power company, is pleased to announce that it intends to announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2015 in the week commencing 21 March 2016.

In addition the Board is pleased to announce that the Company has received, since December 2015, net cash payments from the European Union's Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking ("FCH JU") of €1.071m after taking into account net cash payments to other project partners within the POWER-UP and Alkammonia programmes.

The Company undertook a fundraise in December 2015 amongst existing shareholders to, in particular, support AFC Energy's short-term working capital requirements in advance of the receipt of EU grant funds through reimbursement of expenditure for the POWER-UP project in Stade, Germany. The majority of the €1.071m funds received from the FCH JU relate specifically to work conducted on POWER-UP up to 30 June 2014. Further significant cash receipts from the FCH JU related to the POWER-UP project for the period ending 30 June 2015 are expected in due course.

StockMarketWire.com
AFC Energy, the industrial fuel cell power company, has set out its eight 2016 strategic milestones and outcomes.

Fuel Cell Stack and Balance of Plant ("BoP"):
- Milestone 1: Develop a second generation ("Gen 2") fuel cell stack and BoP during the second half of 2016

- Milestone 2: Operate the Generation 2 fuel cell stack and BoP over an extended test period (>1 month) before the end of 2016

-Milestone 3: Confirm the availability and longevity of the fuel cell system to meet minimum industry standards required for commercial deployment as agreed with project partners

Product Development
-Milestone 4: Conclude basic design and engineering on a single cartridge 10kW system capable of deployment in 2016

-Milestone 5: Conclude basic design and engineering on a 1MW capacity fuel cell system capable of deployment in 2017

Commercial Opportunities

- Milestone 6: Commence scoping studies for at least three international fuel cell projects with a focus on the Middle East and Asia

- Milestone 7: Secure contracts for at least two international fuel cell projects for delivery in 2017

- Milestone 8: Secure value added strategic partnerships with recognised industrial & institutional groups AFC's chief executive Adam Bond said: "We made significant progress across the business in 2015 in delivering against our previous set of milestones. 2015 saw a significant de-risking of AFC's proprietary fuel cell technology, which culminated in the delivery of the Company's first industrial scale fuel cell system in Germany. I firmly believe that the delivery of these new milestones will continue this momentum as our technology finishes its journey to allow the commercial deployment of AFC's fuel cell system."

and the market says, loada shit

HARRYCAT - 01 Mar 2016 09:12 - 1202 of 1468

Yes, sadly it seem's the timescale is being extended into 2017. Lets hope this technology becomes commercially viable soon, otherwise AFC is going to go the way of all the other fledgling Co's.

KEEP an EYE

AFC 14.875p ( 14.50 - 15.25p )

Since yesterday has been holding at bottom and not going worse.

1- the UT at close 14p was a signal of better things to come by the order book as a bottom price though the spread price was much higher.
2- Share price at the point of being well oversold on the Indicators.
3- Well below from the placing @ 20p
4- No reason for being so low apart from a seller was on the market, now has gone
5- Buy low sell high

chart of Yesterday's close but UT @ 14p

Why don't you say you want to have the last word for the sake of argueing,

The Barsteward is behind you, and lying through and through ( I know my trades, he does not ) ask where did I WENT WRONG?

I hope he has a big ARSE to keep them their, others say is talking from the back side

you keep getting funny friends don't you?

I hope you do not back stab him also, and do not think this one has such a hard skin like the other one.

Anyway you comment long time ago tells everything " Have you seeing any "jew" not wanting to argue? "
