I'm convinced that hydrocarbons are present in this drill....and probably the next one.....the seismic shows that something pretty big is down there.....fingers crossed for a good result...the good thing is that another well will be drilled after this one......targets are there ......((as the crow flies) : not too far from Sealion).....once we get down to 1400m......the rumours will start.....and this is where the sp will fly or not......with autumn coming....just the right time for a the sp to "Bolt".....should I say......

Storm - nasty old storm passing through the area at the moment, will probably mean a weeks delay as the rig has to stop drilling and move away from the drill site.
Much lower winds and sea levels once this storm passes and drilling will resume.

A more poignant question might be :
cynic always posts in a merry way on stocks he holds that go up.
Now why when FOGL goes up be never posts anything good and says how crap the others stocks are BUT when FOGL is down a bit and others are up he is all to keen to say how bad FOGL is ?
A/ Its because he only remembers FOGL on bad days ?
B/ He actually holds no FOGL stock at all, but wants to make everyone think he has same, a small enough holding to be able to claim to be long on good news and so claim the merits of being in a winning stock - but small enough also to claim to have sold it all and it was just small and therefore no big loss, on any bad news.
Well............. ;)

This is how I view FOGL.........I am now a very large investor of this stock..........What does this tell you........Gambler or investor?
I know you get a lot of stick/criticism Proselenes (I'm sure you have broad shoulders). The work you put into FOGL share is commendable........I either choose to believe or not..........I choose to believe.
Whether there is Oil or Gas is the unknown........Now there is the gamble.
Keep up the excellent work.

Gerponville, I agree.
At this stage, with cash leftover of 50p a share after 2 drills, just starting their first drill at Loligo with potential upside of over 30 pounds a share - its investing.
"Angels" invest in "risky" stocks all the time, thats what venture capital is, taking a risk on a company that may or may not succeed. They seem to call that "investing".
But if the company name is Falklands then it seems to be called gambling by the people who do not own any stock.
I am very long FOGL, I know the risks, I am happy with the risks and fully prepared either way, good or bad news.
Not selling any either, and will not claim to have sold any on bad news, but I suspect there will be many many people claiming to be long on good news............ ;) LOL

"Angels" are usually "Sharks" and "Venture Capitalists" an awful lot worse

cynic your user name and outlook is begining to get boring, i've got to agree with what Proselenes just stated and you fit the label to a "T"..

GB - good! .... but is not the analogy accurate? ...... by the way, you are under no compulsion to read what i write, even if it is usually, but not always, merely to shed the cold light of reality on the hype

i now hold more of these than common sense says i should, but i hope i'll have the discipline to sell a slab before the result is known ......
so, having made that position clear, perhaps one or even some of you blue-sky hyperboles in rose-tinted glasses will explain why sp remains pretty subdued and, unless i'm much mistaken, volumes quite low
