Unfortunately that is very true Dave. Noticed another 500k X trade at 19p just gone through and there was a few largeish trades at 19 yesterday. I wonder if there is any relevance in that.

looks like some lucky punters have found some stock borrow and are taking an arb on the placed stock. if the placement is at 17 and you have confirmation that you aer filled then it is the simplest arb possible.

i would think the borrow is relatively tight though so i can't see too much of this coming out...

gavdfc..-I'd pick another body part for auction..you're gonna need that kidney when this takes off. I foresee much drinking and merriment in the not to distant future! The rain has stopped (for now) and the blender is out....what do you lot want in your smoothie...?

you got it...when i was trading for a bank these were the sweetest trades...unfortunately sourcing borrow and having accress to institutional offerings is now a little more difficult.

classic...stock down as mm's get wise to the guys lining themselves up for the placement....expect more of the same for a while.

Maybe not, that's three trades for 21/2 million shares in the last 24 hours, there is no way todays trade is a sell even though it is showing red wat 19p when the previous sell trade was 18.88p, the MM's don't do those sort of favours. Same thing happened yesterday, one of the trades was a definite buy, the other was showing as a sell but at a higher price to previous sells. The MM's are having a field day here and taking a few people for a ride, make of it what you will.

IGL may have some news out today around 4pm, if it's good then they will rise significantly, if it's BT then Buy, that's all I'll say! Very risky though, no deal is no deal!

Wish someone would lend me 2.5m shares for a few hours at 17p! I'd give them back, honest, at 19p! Definitely a sweet trade if you can do it. Looks like some shenanigins now.

i'll tell you whats going on, Institutions are picking up 510 million shares at what Killick and co think will be close to 19p and they are in.
WHY?
because Sterling are about to become the strategic partner for the Mauritanian government not just for Chinguetti field,but for all future developments.
the loan will be repaid and Sterling are to get 70% of the revenues!

It's all happening here! At least no one can say that there's no action here. Think the 60k was a rollover and a lot of the unknowns at 18.88 look like buys to me. Would expect us to get more publicity next week in Shares and IC.
