Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

I think you mean you "pretend" you have some while the price keeps rising but keep saying its too high, and the moment it falls you will be telling everyone how you sold and how its so overvalued.
Look, its not my fault or RKH's fault you are locked into GKP whilst all this fun in the Falklands is happening.
Get over it, relax, let RKH holders enjoy the ride upwards.
You are posting nothing but nonsense since 90p days..... and you continue it talking about how its so overvalued and how GKP has billions but is worth less.
Please just take RKH out of your monitor and ignore this thread...... you will feel happier I think :)

Locked into what ?....you are so arrogant.....Mr Proasil Falkie (fawlty towers)....(I sold most GKP at 120p)...I'm pleased that it's rising...but you don't like me to question why?...

You have been told why a thousand times.
All you do is say "its overvalued"....... might rise 30p at most on the news (that was at 230p).
Give it up............ :)

Until the next rns when they confirm that this is a super discovery....until then I consider the sp to be way up with events....ok...they say with figures to prove that there is say 500 million barrels then this should go to way beyond 300p...we shall see...it'll make me some more dosh..great...if not then back to 200p possibily if just 100 million...just guessing....

harry - NH is almost certainly no better informed than any of us, which is not to say that i too do not come down on the side of probability of a strong report.
however, i do hold an adequate number of RKH + a slightly smaller number of DES and a modest holding in FOLG

170M barrels is worth 600p a share on its own.
90p a share in cash.
Ernest prospect + Stephens + Fox + many others.
So already its undervalued......... and if there should be an upgrade, well.... say no more.

UPDATE 1-Rockhopper says Falklands oil find high quality
Fri May 7, 2010 4:23pm BST
* Says further testing at Sea Lion gives encouraging results
* Eyes flow test at later date
* Stock up over 50 pct
LONDON, May 7 (Reuters) - British oil company Rockhopper Exploration (RKH.L) confirmed its controversial drilling programme near the Falkland Islands has found high quality oil, boosting its shares for a second straight day.
Rockhopper, which initially announced the discovery on Thursday, said fresh data showed the find was a "high quality reservoir interval with very good porosity and permeability".
The data increased the likelihood that the company would return to carry out a flow test, Managing Director Samuel Moody said in a statement on Friday.
Oil exploration in the islands off the coast of South America has sparked protests from Argentina, which claims the British territory.
Shares in Rockhopper were trading up 50 percent at 140 pence a share by 1514 GMT, after more than doubling on Thursday, valuing the company at around 243 million pounds ($375.8 million).
Oriel Securities analyst Richard Rose upgraded his stance on Rockhopper to "buy".
"In the main 25m pay zone permeabilities range from 200-500 Milidarcies with peaks of over 1 Darcy. In layman's terms this indicates a decent quality reservoir," Rose said in a note.
"In addition, no oil/water contact has been encountered, another positive," he added.
While further drilling will be needed to confirm the findings, a commercial discovery based on the current reserve estimates would be worth up to 600 pence a share, Rose said.

Proselenes/RF,
This thread is getting a bit too much of, 'Yes I have, No you haven't.
By all means answer/reply to each other once, then why don't you two just ignore each other?
Most of us I am sure are getting a bit bored with this petty arguing, also it results in those posts of yours that have good, interesting comments being ignored, which is a shame.
Hope neither of you take offence at my comments.
Greek.

very much to my surprise, though i'm certainly not complaining, sp is holding up very strongly indeed and remains within a copper or two of its high for the day

cynic not criticising marky except his dislike of BOR which is surprising as he started that thread and doesn't want to recognise the potential since they have over 100m cash to cover the cost of drilling later this year.

i saw that; very strange even though it's a stock that does not get me very excited, at least for the moment
anyway, the die are now cast for RKH, for it is surely almost certain that they'll put out the report before market open on tuesday
