Here it is...............

Baked Potato with mature Safeway Finest Cheddar, got it half price as the date was up on the 22nd October. (That was when I bought it).

Since then, I have allowed it to mature a little more, and today I had a mass grating session.

It follows therefor that I use some of the said cheese.

Sprinkled on top and put under the grill just before serving.

To borrow someone elses catch phrase..........bootiful!

The spuds I bought yesterday from the farm shop 25kg for 6.50 but these are all massive.

As most supermarkets sell the big ones at a pound each according to the weight, I am quids in there too.

It's worth getting your spuds this way people!

I have a nice bottle of the said chardonnay to polish off this evening, have not had any so far today.

Good to see SEY still holding at 19p.

Should work wonders with the placing.

Morning all,

Just crawled out of my bed after a few days, got a bout of flu. Notice that we are still holding around the 19p mark which is good to see. Plenty of posts on here to catch up on, nice to see the food ones flying in still! All I've had to eat pretty much is soup with lemsips! Can think of better things to eat! Especially after reading some of these posts!

Looks like Bush will still be in charge, or will we get a surprise later.

proptrade - 03 Nov 2004 09:56 - 1325 of 7811

damn Bush. love the tony link.

SEY, food and humour. what a well rounded thread we have all created. Maybe we should have our own quick tab on the Moneyam homepage....just a thought.

mickeyskint - 03 Nov 2004 10:16 - 1326 of 7811

If Bush does make it, where will we be in 4 years time. Who knows?

MS

proptrade - 03 Nov 2004 10:20 - 1327 of 7811

better the devil you know? load of rubbish. the sad part is that I could put my 5 year old son against Bush and he would probably take a sizeable chunk of the vote just because he is NOT Bush.

If only the Democrats put a solid known credible candidate up...

please add politics my last post as well!

I found them quite amusing!

Mickey, if Bush does win then maybe the oil price will keep rising as he keeps adding to the Strategic reserve. But apart from that, who knows.

gavdfc - 03 Nov 2004 11:38 - 1337 of 7811

Think he would have woken up pretty quickly! Not a nice thought! Mickey, you'd have to change your name to mickeyminus.

seawallwalker - 03 Nov 2004 11:44 - 1338 of 7811

Small mention in the Times today saying that ROC have announced that the Mauritannian Government are taking up their 12% option.

That was yesterday, interesting today a ROC Director sells some shares........

http://sg.biz.yahoo.com/041103/15/3o891.html

From Bloomberg:

"Woodside Petroleum Ltd. (WPL AU), Australia's second-biggest oil producer, dropped 19 cents, or 1 percent, to A$19.30. Santos Ltd. (STO AU), the nation's third-biggest oil producer, fell 6 cents, or 0.7 percent, to A$8.04.

Hardman Resources Ltd. (HDR AU), a partner in Woodside Petroleum Ltd.'s $600 million oil project off Mauritania, fell 3 cents, or 1.5 percent, to A$2.01 amid expectations its stake in the project will be reduced.

Perth-based Hardman, which owns 22 percent of the Chinguetti project, would have its interest cut to about 19 percent if the Mauritanian government exercises an option to take a 12 percent stake. The government is likely to do that after signing a funding agreement last week with Sterling Energy Plc, Roc Oil Co., another project partner, said yesterday."

So perhaps ROC's directors sold as their share of Chinguetti will be less once the Mauritanian Govt take up their option. Same for the fall in HNR maybe?
