Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Halifax it can only getter better as the basin is proven to hold commercial oil and I think after we get the update confirming the size of the find the city will start to wake up and smell the coffee.

This is very early days of frontier drilling in the NFB but so far we have had 2 commercial gas finds and one of oil not bad when only 8 holes been drilled in total.

I hope RKH do raise more money and drill further targets and the back of there success as I think the Ocean Guardian will stay in the Falklands waters for another year or longer.

Ernest is a very exciting prospect since it has had CSEM

Once a successful appraisal of Sea Lion will potentially transform value of the company and all the other non drilled prospect will get a value put on them as well and potential partners who will come out of the wood work on the back of this next update.

Watch this space!!!!!

During a brief run-down of the Geology of the North Falkland Basin in the tranches wher...................................

Farmouts will be be necessary or farmins......depending which way you look at it....and I'm hoping that a good size discovery is confirmed perhaps as early as tomorrow morning....the problem would be if they issue an rns going along the lines : more tests and confirmation with an appraisal well later on.....initial spike for the sp followed by heavy profit taking and a retreat in the sp.....we don't want that but it could happen...

HARRYCAT - 31 May 2010 12:58 - 1353 of 6294

Why don't we want that rf? I am happy to sell some once the RNS is released & buy back once the euphoria dies down. That's the idea of trading stock.

required field - 31 May 2010 20:42 - 1354 of 6294

Well yes Harrycat....as long as we can catch the sp at the right time...

HARRYCAT - 31 May 2010 21:13 - 1355 of 6294

07.00 hrs!!! Not long to go, though sp will be marked up or down before the open in that event, so our dice are cast!

('Oil, Sweat & Rigs' program on Quest (freeview CH38) this evening - a good insight in to the offshore drilling business)

cynic - 31 May 2010 22:01 - 1356 of 6294

die not dice ... and don't bet on rns before opening tomorrow; that was only my guess

Proselenes - 31 May 2010 23:53 - 1357 of 6294

Its very hard for people who do not hold stock to sell it............ please factor that in to the fantasy.

Also factor in the same things were said by the same people at 90p...........

The "green eyed monster"...........

Balerboy - 01 Jun 2010 09:20 - 1359 of 6294

HARRYCAT - 01 Jun 2010 10:42 - 1360 of 6294

do RAB capital still hold 17,782,443 shares in RKH.[source Halifax info ] ?

i cannot find any RNS saying they sold[only went back 6 months] and RKH website does not have them listed as a significant shareholders as of 25 may 2010. neither does Hemscott. so i am guessing they don't hold
Alex

markymar - 01 Jun 2010 11:15 - 1362 of 6294

perhaps one positive that may come out of the unfortunate US gulf of mexico oil disaster is that if the americans put a lengthy embargo on off shore drilling then that may free up rigs to go elsewhere in the world, perhaps the Falklands?

aldwickk - 01 Jun 2010 15:03 - 1365 of 6294

RNS just out but not the one we are waiting for

greekman - 01 Jun 2010 15:06 - 1366 of 6294
