THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

AID's or aldwickk,

I assume that you are familiar with the saying "If you can't take it don't give it" are you not?

Fred1new - 06 Dec 2011 20:59 - 13640 of 81564

Initially, I made a typing mistake in response to some of your earlier postings.

But, when I thought about it, somebody appeared to me, to be in need of help and I continued to use it.

Since then, your postings have done little to change my opinion.

I don't usually use personal insults about other posters or people in general, although I am less generous about politicians, who appear to me well adapted to be the object of insults.

However, I do reserve the right to respond offensively to those who use that manner, or similar approach, to me when I make a statement contrary to their views.

I have no problem, if the folly of my remarks, or mistaken beliefs are pointed out to me, or others, and I am prepared to review them and sometimes even make suitable changes to my positioning.

However, I feel that over recent times I have a stalking poster, awaiting a chance to make inane responses to my posts.

Initially amusing, reminding me of my children popping up and saying "boo" when they were very young, but I have to admit it does get a little tedious.

Stan

If you read my post and use one of your brain cell's, you will see am replying to Excline's post , being called aid's doesn't bother me at all .

But i don't find it very funny , just a bit silly.

aldwickk - 06 Dec 2011 22:16 - 13642 of 81564

Am still waiting for Fred to post it.

aldwickk - 06 Dec 2011 19:59 - 13640 of 13643

I would have thought you would be thinking a little more carefully after you comments about Christopher Jefferies,, where you appeared to be suggesting he was a "pervert".

Fred , why don't you copy & paste my reply

Stan - 06 Dec 2011 22:23 - 13643 of 81564

As I say Aids or aldwickk, "If you can't take it don't give it"

Good night.

aldwickk - 06 Dec 2011 22:31 - 13644 of 81564

Stan

Even after explaining it to you , you still can't understand , are you really that thick ?

greekman - 07 Dec 2011 07:23 - 13645 of 81564

Please don't allow this thread to become like some others on here, re insults and yes you did, no I didn't chat.

Surely after one defensive reply if someone has had a go at you, just leave it there.
Repeated replies are not needed, were bigger than that!

I am sure most of us have gained some pleasure from friendly banter and good old fashioned view/comment sharing.

Come on you lot, its nearly Xmas, good will to all men (and women of course) and all that.

Regards to all.

Greek.

RSA pays nigh on 10% you can not get that in many places .
it is a gift from the angels

Fred1new - 07 Dec 2011 09:35 - 13648 of 81564

Ald,

If instead of making a defence for you posting about "Jefferies", you had apologised for a "mistake", then it would have been more acceptable.

I would suggest that, if you read some of your previous posting, you may understand the degree of malevolence that some read into them and hence some of the responses you get.

That is why I am am antagonistic to your postings as I see them representative of you.

I will leave you in peace.

aldwickk - 07 Dec 2011 09:50 - 13649 of 81564

Fred

The newspaper's made a mistake / lied , not me. Are you saying people who read the paper's shouldn't repeat what they have read to anybody else ?

Fred1new - 07 Dec 2011 10:17 - 13650 of 81564

ALD,

So, you made the accusations based on "false" information.

The action was yours.

The malevolence was yours.

The stance which you make proposing is that of a vigilante when he has been party to the hanging of an innocent person.

Repetition of lying is still lying in my book

=========

Change subject.

If you were in a negotiation, such as Cameron is in with the "Eurozone Crisis" with 17 member states and another 8 or so hanger-ons, would you be stating, that if the lifeboat wasnt going in the direction you thought it should be that you would sink it.

I suppose it is the politician in him rather than an international statesman, pandering to his right winged euro-phobic party members.

But, if he does do as is suggested I wouldnt be surprised if he is thrown overboard.

Interesting to read the size of the different populations and mass size of the different countries of the EU,

Below show sizes of participants.

Oceans' deepest depth re-measured

US scientists have mapped the deepest part of the world's oceans in greater detail than ever before.

The Mariana Trench in the western Pacific runs for about 2,500km and extends down to 10,994m.

Have your say(30)

TOP Eurocrats are secretly plotting to ensure David Cameron does not win a single concession from talks on the future of the EU, it emerged.

Sources said yesterday that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy ...............plan to gang up with other EU leaders at a crucial summit in Brussels tomorrow to inflict a humiliating defeat on the Prime Minister in his drive to return sovereignty to Westminster.

Insiders say Mr Cameron will be isolated and walk away with nothing.

EU leaders will refuse even to discuss British objections to a proposed financial tax that would hammer the City of London and cost hundreds of thousands of British jobs.

TANKER - 07 Dec 2011 14:27 - 13655 of 81564

the uk gov are working out how to tell the public why we have got to join the euro countrys

ahoj - 07 Dec 2011 14:32 - 13656 of 81564

I think it is a good time to do so. we r stronger now.

Stan - 07 Dec 2011 14:34 - 13657 of 81564

"EU leaders will refuse even to discuss British objections to a proposed financial tax that would hammer the City of London and cost hundreds of thousands of British jobs."

More like:

EU leaders will refuse even to discuss British objections to a proposed financial tax that would "not" hammer the City of London and "not" cost hundreds of thousands of British jobs.

And so it begins - Eurozone: France and Germany urge common taxes
