THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

ahoj - 09 Dec 2011 08:21 - 13732 of 81564

So, Britain and Hungary haven't agreed yet.

Are they so important to wait for?
I think they cannot agree without Hungary, so Britain should make her decision!!!

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 08:27 - 13733 of 81564

the eu is a one way street and it is not for the brits only for the rest of europe
benefits and services are only for people coming to the uk .
if brits go to europe they will get no help .
ourservices have been drained with one way traffic

greekman - 09 Dec 2011 08:41 - 13734 of 81564

It may not be diplomatic, but the UK should tell Germany and France just were to go.
We should only obey those treaty clauses and rules, where we will benefit, and ignore those where we don't.
I can already hear people crying out that this is something we can't do, but just think that many clauses/rules that any new treaty will contain, will be enforced on the UK, by default, even if we do not become a signatory.

We are heading quickly back to the days of Germany and their friends telling other countries including the UK.

'You vil do vot we say, Ya'

Cameron should reply along the lines of, 'Listen carefully, I will say zis only vonce'.

ahoj - 09 Dec 2011 08:43 - 13735 of 81564

I am inclined to agree with you based on cost/benefit assessment. I think at the end of the day, these are temporary noises which should be ignored. Whatever happens, the world/countries/people will adjust themselves.

In fact, many companies are benefitting from the crises as there is no new investment, no new company or bank result in monopoly.

How many large bank exist in the world which can be relied on by big countries? The number has rapidly declined. That's extremely good for those who survive.

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 08:59 - 13736 of 81564

lets get out close our borders send the migrants back home .
then the uk will get back to being a great country not full of migrants
taking benefits that they have never put into .
we do not need a vote we all no the result

Fred1new - 09 Dec 2011 09:03 - 13737 of 81564

Congratulations.

The tories destroyed the manufacturing and heavy industry base of the UK in favour of the Service industries and "city".

This government represents the "City" and is financed by it i.e, in hock to it.

Cameron and Osborne have sacrificed the well-being of the UK and Europe for their political needs.

Some are interested in their legacy or place in history. I would think next to Chamberlain and Bliar.

Europe was fed up with the UK and are probably glad to see back of the UK.

The financial centres will move to from the UK to France and Germany.

Sheer madness and the UK will regret it.

-----------------

All I have heard from our gallant heroic duo and the phobic tory right, is "what we want and get from Europe" and "not can we achieve with Europe".

Political adolescence.

ahoj - 09 Dec 2011 09:17 - 13738 of 81564

I think UK will stay out for now, then come back when details are clearer.

Cameron should understand that the UK will benefit from Euro(pe) as soon as growth come back. No matter if we are in out out, but joining no is better now, when crises are at its peak.

Dil - 09 Dec 2011 09:17 - 13739 of 81564

Leave Germany , France and its bust mates to it I say ... come home Cameron.

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 09:34 - 13746 of 81564

Dil - 09 Dec 2011 09:35 - 13747 of 81564

Only reason France and Germany are doing anything now is because it's in their own interest to do so ... remember how they refused to help us the day we were forced to withdraw from the ERM ?

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 09:58 - 13748 of 81564

fred what do the taxpayers get out of being in the eu .
i can think of nothing only immigration

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 10:28 - 13749 of 81564

All expenditure for Euro group countries on a Friday should be through Quidco, IMHO.

eg,

All Boots pharmaceuticals through Quidco are 10 off with 11% Cashback when more than 90 is spent, so that would be a doddle.

For the next 24 hours there's 9% Cashback for M&S if the spend is more than 30. A doddle.

Total saving of 235 at Sky: Join Sky through Quidco by 15 Dec to get Sky TV in time for Christmas. Receive a 100 M&S voucher, up to 135 cashback, 2 month free Sky Movies trial and 6 months half price Broadband Unlimited for new customers joining Sky+HD TV with Movies 1 + 2 and Broadband Unlimited and Talk.

Earn 140 Cashback at Vodafone before 11 Dec on all 18 or 24 month handset contracts.

and there's more....
