THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Only reason France and Germany are doing anything now is because it's in their own interest to do so ... remember how they refused to help us the day we were forced to withdraw from the ERM ?

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 09:58 - 13748 of 81564

fred what do the taxpayers get out of being in the eu .
i can think of nothing only immigration

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 10:28 - 13749 of 81564

All expenditure for Euro group countries on a Friday should be through Quidco, IMHO.

eg,

All Boots pharmaceuticals through Quidco are 10 off with 11% Cashback when more than 90 is spent, so that would be a doddle.

For the next 24 hours there's 9% Cashback for M&S if the spend is more than 30. A doddle.

Total saving of 235 at Sky: Join Sky through Quidco by 15 Dec to get Sky TV in time for Christmas. Receive a 100 M&S voucher, up to 135 cashback, 2 month free Sky Movies trial and 6 months half price Broadband Unlimited for new customers joining Sky+HD TV with Movies 1 + 2 and Broadband Unlimited and Talk.

Earn 140 Cashback at Vodafone before 11 Dec on all 18 or 24 month handset contracts.

and there's more....

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 10:59 - 13751 of 81564

Fred1new - 09 Dec 2011 11:42 - 13752 of 81564

Tanker,

Do us a favour and stay in Florida.

-------------------

Interesting the Euro-zone is said to have all the problems, but the Euro is up against the pound.

Since the coalition is in "charge", or looking for the next U-turn, how much is sterling down against the Euro and dollar.

Devaluation with no upturn in GDP

No expectancy of even short term growth which is generally expected.

But, Bulldog Britain is showing true grit.

I would prefer to have Blustering Cameron on the lead and the Bulldog leading him.

But he sure thinks he can lay down the rules for 20+ other countries.

--------

What is the population of the UK and that of the 17 or 20+ Euro countries?

He is -------------- into the wind and its running down his trousers.

I see the Trade Balance came in 1.9B better than expected.

Fred1new - 09 Dec 2011 11:49 - 13755 of 81564

Boris said "Cameron played a blinder" but really meant "Cameron played like a blind mind" and please move over.

No disrespect to the blind who can see more clearly than "the dear leader".

Bill Cash or Boris for leader of the tory rump.

------------------

Just a thought, will this craziness when the dust settles down end with a split in the tory party.

(The Cons and the Mods.)

Who will the "City" or Aschroft pay?

TANKER - 09 Dec 2011 11:50 - 13756 of 81564

fred what do the people in the uk get out of a corupt eu

Fred1new - 09 Dec 2011 11:52 - 13757 of 81564

Skinny,

Does that mean the government policies are "back on track"?

-------------

Just listening to Cash.

The word "Tribal" springs to mind.

skinny - 09 Dec 2011 11:57 - 13758 of 81564

mnamreh - I use this link for key market moving news/figures - if you click on the icon in the 'detail' column - you get a limited description. And yes - its the overall figure.

Fred1new - 09 Dec 2011 12:09 - 13760 of 81564

S,

Can I use that site as well.

Very useful.

Thanks.

skinny - 09 Dec 2011 12:12 - 13761 of 81564

Fred - who can say at this juncture, but the markets have picked up 50 points since 9:30 - which is nice
