CEY is a gold mining company operating in Egypt. It was ordered by the Egyptian Government to stop drilling pending a legal dispute brought against the company by a government minister.
Since then, the whole Government cabinet was replaced a few months ago and the minister now in charge of Mining is believed to be positive on Western investment in the country. CEY are pushing for this minister to allow them to continue drilling ASAP; investers are waiting....patiently.
As soon as the company gets the go-ahead to continue drilling, the share price will move north; CEY has plenty of gold in this mine and it is (apparantly) the case of "raking" it out rather than drilling for it!
Check them out...worthy of a punt.

If they stopped killing each other and sorted out a stable, civil government, we might get somewhere!

the reason these are going nowhere is .
if you do not no why then sell
i do no why .it is who is going to run the country and they are backward looking .
they still believe there is a higher power .
i know that there is not

Beside the politics.....with international agreements which you cannot change overnight : it should be way higher.....their coffers will increase and a time will come when the market pushes the sp up....

Analysis - Economic gloom begins to lift in Egypt
(Reuters) - When Egypt's stock market index climbed this week to its highest level since last July, it was more than a boon to equity investors -- it was a sign that after a year of turmoil, prospects may be improving for the Egyptian economy.

Egypt as other countries has a history of corruption and a lot of this is channeling funds into the oldest established families. Any new broom is going to look at the existing 'arrangements' so see if without getting themselves eliminated funds can be created and diverted in a new way. The investing public knows that the successful political party in Egypt, in this case the 'brotherhood', will also be onto this restructuring. The excellent threads provided by DtG show that the new powerbase has less focus on changing existing 'arrangements' but hoping to create fresh ones. This is a classic move and will cause minimal internal disruption.
