CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Morning all, well I survived the dentist, she gave me so much anaesthetic I was dribbling for about 2 hours afterwards. I asked my dentist (who is a woman) who were the most frightened patients, men or women, and the answer was 'men but they dot say so, so its hard to do anything to make them feel better'.

Armed with this information I think I will spend the first 10 minutes of any further appointments making sure she is completely aware of how much I dislike pain and injections and drill and those horrible bits of dry stuff they stick in-between your gums and I may also throw in my view on a load more things as well. After that I hope the whole dentist experience will be far better......

Its bright and sunny in Hastings at the moment but I here its wont last long.

A fantastic 17 degrees in sunny Paris. Might go for a stroll by the river at lunch time.

Seem like I spoke to soon, just had a bit of toast and I had problems with the new filling, so I now have another appointment with her at 1100 !!!

Jeff, nice day to be in Paris, I dont think I will be in Paris for a couple of weeks, my next france trip will be to Aix, for a couple of days, which I am looking forward to as its a lovely place.

Sue 'em Spacie - damn dodgy dental work is no joke! I know these fillings don't last forever but under 24 hours is taking the preverbial!

Bunny, I think (hope!) its just a problem with my bite and the filling is OK, I had so much anaesthetic that I couldnt tell that it wasnt right at the time.

So guess whose bite is worse than his bark.

Actually many years ago I went to the dentists to have a large filling done, during the drilling the tooth broke up and he had to take it it out, but when he was trying to pull it out the roots broke off and he had to dig them out. I think thats whay I hate going to the dentist so much now !!!

Now have you filled that tea urn up yet !!?? ;-)

Like you I hate the dentist. I have had two teeth out in the last two yars and to be honest it was far less hastle and less pain than a filling or root canal. My dentist charges 140 to 240 for a filling, 400 for a root canal and only 180 for an extraction. I know a good dentist at London Bridge hospital who only charges 130 for an extraction.

43 for fillings and extractions, 180 max charge for a course of treatment (approx figs) mind you I live in the Kingdom of South Yorkshire.

I'm one of the last NHS patients in the country so it costs me about a fifth of those prices!

Glad I have a dentist!

I've got an NHS dentist, mind you it really is a flea-pit of a place above some shops, cramped, dirty carpet, badly lit stairwell, ever changing staff, forever lost records, the whole lot but until I can afford a private dentist again cost is the factor so it's shut your eyes and just get the job done.
