it's all a load of bollocks anyway until there's a result and then there'll be even more bollocks as those results are interpreted and ramped

cynic only holds a couple of FOGL shares now - sold the majority (of his small holding) at 86p the other day.
But of course, should FOGL strike gas or oil there will be a million and one people claiming they purchased just before the news/just on the news at very low prices and then sold higher and locked in big profits............
LOL - always the same the bollox they spout.
I held RKH from 38p to selling at 300p. cynic sold at 60p and got back in at 80p and sold at 90p and back in at 120p and sold at 140p and back in at 180p and sold at 190p etc. etc.. etc.. etc.. etc....

It is always nice to speculate on the upside but what will the sp do if it turns out to be a duster.......50p...40p... 30p....?

you seem to keep a very close record of what and when i trade, which is rather more than i do ...... one thing i have learnt from very bitter experience, is to bank profits prudently and to cut losses (wish i was better at that)
if MrP was as smart an investor as he claims, then he would be as wealthy as croesus ..... but that clearly is not the case ..... the prosecution rests its case
and to answer trannyboy ..... if the muppets believe the hype and manage to boost sp to what i consider silly levels, then i hope i shall have the sense to advantage of same

P - I held RKH from 38p to 300p. Earlier post said he sold out at 350p. So, as usual, talking a complete load of.................................

As Proselenes polarises opinion I've just spent a while skipping through his thread on RKH. Without doubt, there is much good research, but also much proselenes opinion, the basis of which can be read either in a positive or negative manner. My conclusion is that his posts are worth reading for the detailed content which can be verified, but the rest is pure ramping. Judging by the amount of threads he starts on here and contributes to or starts elsewhere, I believe ramping is his full time occupation. Does this opinion add anything to the discussion? Nope, but caveat emptor or something like that.

Welcome to the asylum chuckles, I see you have met Pro's alter ego, grannyboy. You will notice, if you look, that after Pro posts, grannyboy usually puts in an appearance, mostly telling him how wonderful he is or to back him up in the face of criticism.
What you have to understand about Pro is that he spends all his time creating topics on these boards, you will find loads on here, under his Pro name but also that of Papal Power and maybe other aliases as well. These topics are not created for your benefit, but to help him create interest in shares he holds. He couldn't care less about you or anyone else, it's all about what benefit he can get from all his posting activity.
Even more pathetic is that it's not as if any of it is his own research, it's all cut and paste from people who really know what they are talking about, with the Pro spin. If you've read the rockhopper thread then you'll know he was in for the long term, to make a 7 figure profit, but bailed out when the share price dipped. God knows when he sold, he's posted about 5 different exit prices. Of course he had an average of 40p, wasn't everybody? But filled his boots at 200p. All very contradictory.
A liar forgets his lies.
You may wonder why Pro needs an alter ego? Quite obvious really, Pro claims to filter lots of posters, they are all in the header, but by doing so, he loses the opportunity to respond to posts like this. His massive ego won't let an insult pass, so he has grannyboy to do the real dirty work. Watch the fur fly after this post!
Good luck to you, back to lurking for me.

Well ptholden you sound a tad envious, if you did'nt pop up so iregular and you took the time to post something resembling research people might take you more seriously instead of accusing posters of being anyones alter ego, sometimes people are on the same wavelength and understand where they're coming from.
Whats your position here, do you hold, plan to?, or whats your plain objections?..

i do not de-ramp as you choose to call it, but merely throw some cold reality on all the hype that purports to be realistic expectation

You should re-phrase that cynic - when you are not holding a stock you throw cold water on it.
When you hold a stock you throw petrol on the fire, like most others - take XEL as an example - one would guess you hold XEL presently.............

XEL - there is no one on that site leaping around like a demented rabbit in heat raving about how wonderful it is or might be or definitely will be
FOGL et al - you ARE the demented rabbit in heat!
and i hold both the above + a dozen or so others, so your point is what exactly?
Proselenes

Nobody is saying how wonderful FOGL is and its a dead cert success !!
There is a big risk here at FOGL - and everyone should be fully aware of the risk of failure - I certainly am I am keep posting it.
Certainly lots of rampers on the XEL thread.
All there is here is speculation of what could be, should Loligo or Scotia strike gas or oil - nobody is saying they will - everyone is saying there is a large risk here.
XEL - nobody is mentioning risk - all happily ramping away............
Your postings there and here suggest you are long XEL and have no FOGL (just claiming you have some in case there is good news - but claiming to have such a small amount if its bad news you can say you sold them all and no big loss)

Just face it: you have run out of things to post about this company (and probably did so weeks ago). Why don't you put a sock in it until the company issues an RNS.

if you believe 1% of what you write then you are even more stupid than seems possible ..... i have less beans in FOGL than in XEL (not excessive there either) + a similar amount in RKH - all well posted
if you truly hold £150/200,000 of FOGL at the price you insist you bought at, then unless your are even half as rich croseus (patently not so), then you really are totally bonkers as several others have intimated

cynic - I have a belief the Eastern Falklands will yield massive amounts of gas and oil - and therefore I put my money where my mouth is.
Simple as that - we shall see in time once Loligo and then Scotia are drilled.
Obviously EDF and Noble have similar expectations, and have put their money where their mouths are pre-drill as well.
