Deltex (DEMG)

grajul - 19 Feb 2004 13:39

Hi all
pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!
thanks in advance.

Yep,, I'm in... have been for the past 9 months. Like an idiot I got in at 28p cos they were tipped all over the place as being a good buy... more like a goodbye to half my investment.. !
Anyway I'm in now so still looking for good things... Think the SP has drifted down as there have been no contracts, deals, sales announcements.. it's been very quiet... hopefully the research news will help NHS and other bodies to make their mind up about buying some .. and quick !

greekman - 29 Sep 2005 08:34 - 149 of 968

Good results, better than I expected. As thought its the NHS being short of cash and being shortsighted re the slow take up. With the cash burn position and the increased interest, this must soon break out of its steady trickle. Once it does the flood gates will open. IMO of course.

skyhigh - 29 Sep 2005 08:49 - 150 of 968

Agree... thought all along that the NHS had enormous financial debts/overspends and that it will take along time for NHS to recognise the benefits and organise itself to buy monitiors etc., Hopefully the private hospitals can bridge the gap.

Better results than I expected... with a successful placing.. they now have plenty of funds available..
I'm still staying in... don't expect much to happen to the sp. However, if we do get frequent good substantial sales come through quickly than I think sp will rocket skyhigh! (imho)

Always good when directors etc choose shares in lieu of cash.

Deltex Medical Group plc (the 'Company'), the AIM quoted haemodynamic monitoring
company, announces that it has today issued a total of 368,621 new ordinary
shares in the Company to certain non-executive directors and certain advisors to
the Company at a price of 19.00 pence per share.

skyhigh - 20 Oct 2005 14:52 - 152 of 968

I hope it's good !
We haven't yet got any frequent good substantial sales news come through so sp is languishing in already a very poor market sentiment backdrop.
Need to be doubly patient in this very boring period.

greekman - 20 Oct 2005 15:24 - 153 of 968

skyhigh,

Also as I understand it as its shares taken and not directly purchased, such things as closed periods, dealing with insider knowledge etc ( hope its a deal round that perverbial corner ) don't come into it.

They also took the shares at a premium to current price, also a good sign.

explosive - 20 Oct 2005 19:06 - 154 of 968

Hi all,

I held these shares in vain for ages in 2004/5. In my opionion the products brilliant but the management have never managed to sell it. Shame really theres so many peices of technology around for medical science that never actully take off... It seams the government would rather spend money stock piling drugs (such as the bird flu one recently reported) than spend on proven technology!!. All the best to everyone holding this share..

skyhigh - 23 Dec 2005 12:19 - 155 of 968

This should be good news... i think ?....

Skyhigh - This is very small director deal for 5220. I suspect its intention is to attract furter small investors to the company. I would only realy be interested in transactions of 50K or more (250,000 shares) fron the board.

skyhigh - 24 Dec 2005 10:36 - 157 of 968

explosive.... yeh... think you're right... I was clutching at straws..I would like to see more sales/contracts/deals coming thru..perhaps in the new year we might get some ?

explosive - 03 Jan 2006 18:25 - 158 of 968

Skyhigh, indeed this would be very good news for 2006. I suspect however it'll never come. The news over the weekend has been about hospitals cancelling operations to cut costs. Doesn't sound like 2006 will be investment year in the NHS with the current government.

greekman - 10 Jan 2006 18:20 - 159 of 968

Re the RNS of today....Man Financial Ltd now has a holding of 2,360,000 ordinary shares representing approximately 3.25% of the Company's issued share capital.

Can't find any previous mention re Man Financials, so presumably this is a new purchase which was the cause of the slight rise over last couple of days.

Anyone know any different.

Greekman, I am of the same impression... Maybe finally we'll see CardioQ beginings in the UK.

greekman - 12 Jan 2006 17:31 - 161 of 968

Great news ( especially if you read between the lines ).

Results are going to be better than most punters expected, especially with the NHS budget over-run being as it is.
The prospects overall look very good, as to the spread use of the CardioQ around the world.
I still think the main way forward will be the CardioQ being accepted in general use, USA and Europe with our badly run NHS playing catch up.
I still feel that once this does start to gather real momentum, it will be like the proverbial snowball...There will be no stopping it.
Let's just hope it does not take too long.

greekman - 16 Jan 2006 09:25 - 162 of 968

Trades already approaching 1 mil. Over last few months, there have been many days where trading has been less than this.
Good movement at last. Just hope that news releases over next few weeks will keep the momentum going.

JEREMY BATSTONE recommended these as a strong buy on Bloomberg yesterday, he said the upside was substantial.

greekman - 16 Jan 2006 16:59 - 165 of 968

Nice Directors buy, more than tripling his holding..

greekman - 16 Jan 2006 17:14 - 166 of 968

A late trade of 234516@ 23.5p that must be a buy.
If someone is willing to pay that much over the odds for a sizable stake, that 5 mill sales figure looks even better.

Arf Dysg - 16 Jan 2006 19:24 - 167 of 968

I believe today's volume of trading was an all-time high. 4.6 million shares, I think. Only two days have come anywhere near this in the last 12 months - one in March at about 4.3 million shares, and one later in the year above 2.5 million shares.

Is this recommendation by Jeremy Batstone anywhere on the Bloomberg web site? I've tried looking but the search tool says "nothing found". Who is Jeremy Batstone and what sorts of things was he saying?

I've been accumulating DEMG shares for the last year, and in the process also accumulating as much financial pain as I can stand. Hopefully today is the start of justifying all that.

The director's buy (chief executive, no less!) was announced after close of trading. That should do something positive to the share price tomorrow morning.
