THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Isn't feeling a right tit a foul?

Fred1new - 15 Feb 2012 10:04 - 14873 of 81564

That does make the game more interesting.

Unemployment at 16 year high.

Figures probably worse than they appear due to being camouflaged by part time employment.

I think that it would be appropriate for government and MPs to take a 25% reduction in salaries and EXPENSES, for a two year period.

Attempting to placate the public by populist "policies" won't wash in the long run.

This tory and "have been libs" is government of increasinf failure.

Its interesting to read the latest reports from Greece. In a nut shell, they were handed a euro credit card which they maxed out, borrowed more to repay the debt while still having a good time, didnt pay their taxes, employed cheap labour to staff their holiday industry and now wonder where it all went wrong!!! We cannot sit on our halo's because we were within a nats privates of going the same way and are still not out of the merd'e yet.

Fred1new - 15 Feb 2012 14:18 - 14876 of 81564

BB,

Which groups in Greece didn't pay their taxes?

Cousins of our ruling tory elite with overseas tax haven accounts.

Just wondering which had the most corrupt or has the most corrupt administrations.

N,

If you are tired I can recommend a nap. Very refreshing.

(Not the type which are sometimes pushed on this B.B. though.)

But I am reflecting back the promises made by certain political spokesmen/women of a new dawn and who are now pushing out populist crap to divide and distract the public from the realities of the economic and social problems that they are helping to create.

Unfortunately, supported by much of the press and some of the other media.

No wish to offend you.

Fred1new - 15 Feb 2012 14:53 - 14879 of 81564

N,

Anyway it is a peculiar market and too confusing for me. Thought it was going to trade side ways for a while and the shares I view from various indicators seem to be consolidating.

Also. looking at indices and volumes and money flows I would prefer to provoke for a little while longer than getting my toes to wet.

More mobiles than humans in 2012, says Cisco

Mobile devices will outnumber humans this year, according to network firm Cisco's latest analysis of global mobile data traffic.

By 2016 it predicts that there will be 10 billion mobile connected devices around the world.

By the same date networks will be carrying 130 exabytes of data each year, equivalent to 33 billion DVDs.

Mobile data traffic in 2011 was eight times the size of the global internet in 2000, according to the report.
