Plenty of good news within the past couple of weeks, and the figures look encouraging for the future. Hopefully a very bullish outlook. More news in November ?

I've noticed that yesterday afternoon Tata stated to the press that they've a tie up for auto trans with Fiat. This could be what we've been waiting for. Hopefully some more good news to come very soon.

Interims should be due soon. About time there was further news on Carraro (they also have some tie up with Mahindra & Mahindra which may prove relevant) and updates about Tata. Hoping that this one will be good !

The buying trend's continuing, but only a marginal move in the SP. Hopefully Torotrak are building up news for good interims.

There seems to be a lot of room for exitement - what with a TATA-Fiat tie up - - - - er, just how does this affect TRK?
Fiat are well-known for small cars ( and relaunched the Fiat500, recently). er, and TATA is well established in India - where small cars would appear to be required by the masses - so that seems to me to be the reason for co-operation.
Now, where does this say "TRK" - and even if it said "we are developing a cheap small car with IVT, by TRK" -( ...which no-one has found so far...)
And, just how much would you expect TRK to earn from the deal ( if it existed)..?
- 1 per vehicle - that would mean 1m if they made a million cars - but that won't happen in yr1 - - - more like 100k - - - and what income does TRK need to support Directors and their renegotiated Options......probably a lot more.
Let's be realistic - this isn't the deal ( yet) - and whatever deal TRK gets it is unlikely to result in shareholders getting a dividend.
Furthermore, the longer "no-deal" appears the greater the risk that cars developinto Electric-hybrids - where there is little need for rollers, torroids, or other mechanical gismos - all of which add considerabley to need for care and precision - OK for an executive motor - but a real killer for something cheap.
Furthermore, for cheap motoring in Indian cities ( with pollution worries) - I suspect an electric-vehicle would be attractive, and would allow buyers to charge their car overnight ( when Electric generation is under-utilised)....kinda Win-Win.
I rest my case.

The Interims are set for Tuesday 27/11, and announced too late for Shares Mag this week. Watch out for good news (I hope). I'm expecting to see positive news on Tata and Carraro, and updates on F1. I don't believe that Aisin AW are out of the picture yet either with a IVT for a big car still under investigation I believe, and maybe scope for a hybrid.

With lots of potential business on the horizon, it's time for Dick Elsy to roll out the good news in the Interims ! A quick look through the news of the past few days has revealed that Aisin (for Toyota) still looks very much in the picture. I also understand that Tata wanted a partner for IVT before proceeding, so I guess that there's another player too, and there's clearly an 'auto trans' link up in India with Fiat .... so just maybe.

Disapointing Interims today, with a reasonable sell off and drop in SP as a result. The main issues seem to be the slow progress at Infinitrak and the lack of anything positive at Aisin AW. One new F1 team signed up and that's all ! With a bit of luck the Tata side will be approved by the Indian government soon so there'll be more news on the actual deal.

The rabbit's in the hat ..... curtain call for the magician !
Torotrak look to be going places fast in the 1st qtr '08. No recent mention in Shares, so I hope they've just missed this one. The Tata deal looks like potentially bigger than most people have estimated, and we could have out maiden profit very soon. Hybrid developments just about all look like going CVT/IVT, and we've clearly not seen the big players show their hands yet.

Looking around the comments boards it appears that an important announcement is due, and hopefully by the month end. This should reveal the details of the already announced Tata deal, which has been to the PAB in India and should be approved any time. Hoping for a good Feb and March with potential for a doubling of the SP.

Having watched one of my holding SEO start to take off, I'm surprised that TRK is so quiet, especially with the news expected to be announced this month about the Tata deal, and plently of others in the pipeline. A good time to get in now ?

Really?
- - - a run of 2000 units will create a small income that will barely pay one Director's salary. This company is a serial rubbish stock, that really should never have been foisted on investors those 15 years ago (was it?)...and I suspect their original Patents are starting to fade.
Their mistake was to try to flog this to Manufacturers, rather than get the demand from the customer.

The past has gone and Torotrak are moving forward. You'd better check all the latest data, but I believe that the Prelims will reveal a bit more, with even more good news to come aloing this year. Infinitrak now in production, the Tata deal plus Bus + Truck info to hopefully come quite soon. Forklift truck and other car deals in the pipeline. Not forgetting KERS. Trains on the horizon ? Mr Elsey has set the stage.
