Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

JStratford - 22 May 2007 10:58 - 15353 of 24230

Morning Bluey, I'm very well thank you. How about your beautiful self?

Bunny, I will have the porridge ready and waiting.

On the veins issue, I had a trainee anaesthetist trying to knock me out once. Good job she was stunningly good looking. In the end they had to gas me as they couldn't get the needle in. And then when it was time for the morphine injection in the stomach, Nurse Robinson had about 10 goes before telling me that it wasn't worth effort. So in short being fit and healthy is not all it's cracked up to being.

Spaceman - 22 May 2007 11:00 - 15354 of 24230

bunny, yes your right, I smoked 40-60 a day for about 5 years, but I havnt smoked since 1984 but it must still have done some long term damage, but how much? its impossible to know.

Re cholesterol, my doctor has lowered what she accepts as bordeline for the ratio (ldl/hdl) from 5.0 to 4.0. Mine was 5.2 for years but I didnt take anything for it, when the level was changed she suggested that I should go onto statins as they were proven to prolong life.

However with my current illness just surviving the next few days is all I can think about ;-)

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 11:03 - 15355 of 24230

Spacies a bit to big for the Inglenook so I suggest we start with his feet..........

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 11:23 - 15356 of 24230

Didn't try the mallet approach then?
;>)

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 11:23 - 15357 of 24230

Gawd - keaydian there's the axe go chop wood, has to be a better atlernative then him sizing poor spacie up for kebabing....

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 11:27 - 15358 of 24230

J Stratford, I was very well until I read Keaydian's last post. It was the timing which did it for me, well done Keaydian you caused me to split my sides with laughter. Perhaps I need some morphine for the resulting pain, lol. Sounds a delightful experience, not, ten times.......before they gave up.

Spaceman I have read that stress is more dangerous for the heart than perhaps high cholesterol,...........so relax and enjoy the neck massages the nurses will give you.

Spaceman - 22 May 2007 11:35 - 15359 of 24230

in the same way that all talk of lambs and sheep in relation to cooking or eating is banned in the coffee house so is any talk of cooking or eating me ;-)

Bluelady, the yellow haired warriors have not arrived yet, could you tell them mto hurry, after all it is an emergency.

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 11:53 - 15360 of 24230

Who invited Boris Johnson and look alikes then? ;>)

JStratford - 22 May 2007 11:57 - 15361 of 24230

Thank you Bunny. I now have hot tea sprayed across my monitors!!!

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 12:04 - 15362 of 24230

Now what did you go do that for JS?
;>)

JStratford - 22 May 2007 12:07 - 15363 of 24230

I have no idea. Could it possible be something to do with the thought of Uma Thurman turning into Boris Johnson as a yellow haired warrior. I mean can you imagine Boris as a general on a field of battle?

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 12:15 - 15364 of 24230

Sadly - yes I can JS LOL :>)

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 12:29 - 15365 of 24230

Spaceman, must be the sat nav system delaying them.

Stockbunny, good one, lol.

J Stratford, could be worse, it could have been one of your shares which caused that sort of reaction ;0)

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 12:37 - 15366 of 24230

stuffing dried dates and some homemade flapjacks - anyone want one?

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 12:52 - 15367 of 24230

JStratford - 22 May 2007 12:54 - 15368 of 24230

There's gratitude for you! Yes please Bunny, and I'll have K.'s share as well please :-)

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 13:58 - 15369 of 24230

Here you go JS - sorry about the wait got too engrossed reading Forsyth's Avenger and having a trot round the garden in the sun :>)))

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 13:58 - 15370 of 24230

Well if we can't cook Spacie, Bunny how would you like a swim in that black pot over by Inglenook....That's just what I said Bunny, silly place to put a pot, and with all those logs under it. Don't worry about the carrots, potatos, etc in the water, I've heard their good for you.

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 14:04 - 15371 of 24230

Keaydian, how could you even contemplate such an idea about stockbunny?

Have a lovely pint of cold beer and apologise to her after she has finished trotting in the garden, lol.

JStratford - 22 May 2007 14:25 - 15372 of 24230

No probs Bunny. It'll go nicely with an after lunch cup of tea thank you.
