SC well done with DRX bought last night. Long way up on long term 10 yr chart.

Skinny, beautifull base triangle breakout on ITM but Im keeping off the small caps in this market.

Once again MRW looking good. This time looks like a real breakout and defensive stock.

09 November 2011 - Broker Upgrade target 15p ++

Shares in Premier Foods PFDS.L add 5.9 percent, the top FTSE 250 .FTMC gainer, as Investec Securities upgrades its rating for the under-pressure food producer to "buy" from "hold" with a target price of 15 pence.
"We think the market has under-appreciated the significance of the covenant deferral and move to Buyers, reflecting both this and some faith in the value of a set of entirely new brooms at the top," Investec says in a note.
Premier Foods shares jumped 10 percent on Monday after the group said that its banking syndicate had agreed to defer a covenant test scheduled for December 31 as discussions around refinancing the company's debt continue.
"We think there is a plausible equity value of 20 pence in six months with better than the 20 percent probability of realisation that the share price is currently discounting," the broker adds.
Investec says that the resultant risk/reward gives Premier Foods a legitimate place in a special situation portfolio for it.

The canning business news is from 09 Feb 2011 - so not new - I made the same mistake myself yesterday on the PFD thread.. Anyway up 14.3% today.

MRW is very tempting. going to use a 24/48 hour rule and make sure it doesnt fall back into the range.

DRX is nicely blue now for me. .

Homeserve looks like a short that may pay dividends but Im not too sure punters wont get pulled in by its CEO being a top salesman and a small rally may be on.. We shall see.

Looks to be plenty of cheapos out their but Im reluctant to commit anymore NEW funds at this stage to this market.

Exactly my thinking - I've lowered limit buys a few times this week, on the assumption that they may(will) fall further - so probably due a rally.

And remember - there is no such thing as a cheap share :-).

Housing charts look interesting. HEAD and BDEV both on base of uptrend channels. BVS on a resistance/support line. Worth a look.

Usually rally at xmas and new year housing stocks.

HEAD not one I know, but I've been watching BDEV for a while. I'm in TW. and have been for quite a while - with the current holding being free - which helps!.
