Centamin Egypt : Worth waiting for... (CEY)

pthwaite - 20 Sep 2004 10:27

CEY is a gold mining company operating in Egypt. It was ordered by the Egyptian Government to stop drilling pending a legal dispute brought against the company by a government minister.

Since then, the whole Government cabinet was replaced a few months ago and the minister now in charge of Mining is believed to be positive on Western investment in the country. CEY are pushing for this minister to allow them to continue drilling ASAP; investers are waiting....patiently.

As soon as the company gets the go-ahead to continue drilling, the share price will move north; CEY has plenty of gold in this mine and it is (apparantly) the case of "raking" it out rather than drilling for it!

Check them out...worthy of a punt.

CEY is trying to deny breaches in contract.

My post is 3 months before the event of today's crash.
Note above: ptholden is obviously the blindest of all posters.

Link lifted from elsewhere :- Centamin ordered to stop Egypt gold-mining operations

This is part of the article and worth a read.

"Centamin Egypt’s head of exploration, Ismail Abdel Khaleq, told Ahram Online that the court had made "a huge mistake," and that the cancelled contract was not for exploration.

Abdel Khaleq added at the exploitation agreement was signed in 1995 and had been passed through the parliament.

"The contract signed in 2004 involved an additional 160 square kilometre offered by the government to the company to explore," he said."

I will say this I am omniscient.
the muslim brotherhood are croooks and very dishonest people
they are not fit to have any believes if hey was a god would destroy them
sodom is what they are filthy inthe name of god .

TANKER - 30 Oct 2012 21:36 - 1741 of 2354

for those that do not know what omniscient means knowing all god

skinny - 30 Oct 2012 22:10 - 1742 of 2354

Tanker, trust me - the one thing you are not is omniscient! :-)

Balerboy - 30 Oct 2012 22:14 - 1743 of 2354

bit of a know all....... maybe.,.

cynic - 30 Oct 2012 22:28 - 1744 of 2354

tanker - you and your comments are beneath contempt .... btw, omniscient includes having complete understanding, which it is abundantly clear is a virtue that you totally lack .... please crawl back under the putrescently slimy stone which assuredly is or should be your home

Deleted as misleading.

hlyeo98 - 31 Oct 2012 08:09 - 1747 of 2354

Looks like CEY is mining against the law and court ruling. Looking ominous when it releases from suspension. Could be 5p on the cards.

Weren't you an undertaker in Dad's Army... Hlyeo98.....?.....

skinny - 31 Oct 2012 08:12 - 1749 of 2354

I think my post 1746 may be regurgitated from yesterday - there seems to be a general RNS problem.

hlyeo98 - 31 Oct 2012 08:15 - 1750 of 2354

Face the fact, field.
Egypt may bring in the army if Centamin continue mining.

cynic - 31 Oct 2012 08:20 - 1751 of 2354

and perhaps israel will bomb it too!

in my strong opinion, this is just a mexican stand-off ..... the country needs the money desperately, so closing down the whole operation would be totally nonsensical ..... there will now be some very very hard renegotiating behind closed doors to allow CEY enough profit so that it does not walk away with all the inherent expertise; for its part, the government - and the individuals therein - will demand a much bigger slice of the cake

would i buy into CEY?
not likely!
