RE: MAURITANIAN GOVERNMENT EXERCISES RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHINGUETTI OIL
FIELD


Hardman Resources Ltd ('Hardman') is pleased to report that the Government of
the Islamic Republic of Mauritania has exercised its right to participate in the
Chinguetti Oil Field development, offshore Mauritania.

The Government's participation will comprise a 12% equity position in the
Exploitation Perimeter which was granted in May 2004 under the terms of the
Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for Area B by way of an Exclusive Exploitation
Authorisation (EEA). The Exploitation Perimeter was granted over an area
including the Chinguetti Oil Field. The effective date of the Government's
participation is 9 November 2004.

The interest of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in the
Chinguetti Oil Field will be held by Groupe Projet Chinguetti, an entity set up
by the Government for this purpose.

The right to participate and the terms of the Government's participation,
including payment of costs from the effective date of participation and
reimbursement of past costs are included in the PSC. The election to participate
will initiate a process for reimbursement of past costs associated with the
Exploitation Perimeter since the effective date of the PSC (being 21 July 1999).

This election to participate is limited to the current Exploitation Perimeter
and does not include the rest of PSC B. The Government has a similar right to
make an election to participate in each new Exploitation Perimeter awarded for
other future developments.

The Government's participating interest will be provided pro rata by the joint
venture participants. Participating interests in the Chinguetti EEA and the
balance of PSC B will be:

Hardman Resources Ltd ('Hardman') provides the following weekly progress report
on the Mauritania offshore drilling programme:


Tiof-3 Appraisal Well - PSC B

Progress and Current Status:
Since the last report (9 November 2004) the West Navigator continued with
completion operations in preparation for flow testing. During the course of the
week some mechanical problems were encountered which have delayed the flow test.
At midnight GMT on 15 November the operator was continuing preparations to flow
test the well.

Well Location:
The Tiof discovery is located approximately 90 kilometres west of Nouakchott,
the Mauritanian capital, and 25 kilometres north of the Chinguetti Field. The
Tiof-3 well is located approximately 4 kilometres west of the Tiof-1 discovery
well. Water depth is 1,198 metres.

Well Details:
The Tiof-3 well is intended to appraise the Tiof oil discovery. The well will
further evaluate the Miocene channel sand system within the Tiof Field area as
interpreted with 3D seismic.

Tiof-4 Appraisal Well

Progress and Current Status:
Since the last report (9 November 2004) the well reached the total depth of
2,908 metres and wireline logging operations were undertaken. Evaluation of logs
acquired while drilling and wireline logs, including fluid sampling and downhole
pressure measurements, indicates that Tiof-4 has intersected oil over a gross
interval of 113 metres, containing several individual sands of variable
thickness. The result was in line with pre-drill expectations. At midnight on
15 November the Stena Tay was preparing to plug and abandon the Tiof-4
appraisal well as planned. The Stena Tay will then move to the Merou-1 location.

Well Location:
The Tiof-4 well is located approximately 2.5 kilometres southwest of the
discovery well
Tiof-1 and 2.2 kilometres east of the Tiof-3 well. Water depth is 1,119 metres
and the planned total depth of the well is approximately 2,960 meters.

Well Details:
The Tiof-4 well was intended to appraise the Tiof oil discovery. The well has
further evaluated the Miocene channel sand system within the Tiof Field area as
interpreted with 3D seismic.

Other information:

All reported depths are referenced to the rig rotary table (except water depth).

Times and dates refer to Mauritania time (GMT), 8 hours behind Western Standard
Time, Perth.

A map showing the location of the wells will be available on the Hardman website
(
www.hdr.com.au
) and will be updated during the course of the 2004/2005 drilling
programme.

The remaining 2004/05 drilling programme will include wells in two production
sharing contract areas (PSC's). Joint venture interests in those areas are:

announcements kind of dull and i think the mkt is just waiting for the 19th. expect a stepping graph into the mid 20's through december/early jan as some stock comes out.

i can't stress how great it is that there is added diversification in the shareholding. adds up to a more efficient mkt, more eyes watching progress and importantly, as things go well, positions being added with these new punters having a lower average in price. bodes very well.
