If Bt has bought back 2million 5 thousand shares to day. How come it shows on trades as a sell?

i Just start to buy and sale but I all ready lost 6772.00. now i am just hold them.

No offense intended. I think you should find yourself a book which simply explains the different investment methods. Don't lose what you can't afford & certainly don't lose it because you don't understand what you are doing. Good luck.

I am not confident these will remain above 100p in the short term.

polska - 10 Nov 2008 14:11 - 184 of 714

shite company from what i experienced.

mitzy - 10 Nov 2008 15:02 - 185 of 714

No surprises here the company is in decline they had it good for 25 years and have missed the chance of capitalising on their No 1 position ita all a bit sad really.

polska - 10 Nov 2008 15:30 - 186 of 714

it should be called IT as most people are indian and hard to understand.......took me months when i came here to be set up.

Dil - 10 Nov 2008 15:34 - 187 of 714

lol polska ... uck off back to the zoo :-)

polska - 10 Nov 2008 15:43 - 188 of 714

i'll stay in uk if i want......you are racist!

Dil - 10 Nov 2008 16:15 - 189 of 714

lol ... u are a wind up merchant

Dil - 13 Nov 2008 10:03 - 190 of 714

Beat forecasts , free cash inflow 369million up from 198million.

Maybe they could lend MDX some.

spitfire43 - 13 Nov 2008 18:26 - 191 of 714

Maybe Telecoms are a safe haven after all, BT results looked solid, and might see some upgrades soon. But also VOD had very strong results on Tuesday, which seemed to take the market by surprise.

tipton11 - 14 Nov 2008 12:57 - 192 of 714

still stacks of room to cut the fat if necessary while even the pension fund appears to be fully funded. ..... good div what more can you want.

HARRYCAT - 14 Nov 2008 14:11 - 193 of 714

Div is under threat. Certainly looks likely to be cut in 2009. Brokers are forecasting a divi under 10p in 2010.

Treblewide - 14 Nov 2008 14:18 - 194 of 714

still a divi at 8-10p should be a tidy 5% yield considering a range of 90-120p sp......

Pond Life - 17 Nov 2008 12:34 - 195 of 714

Treblewide - not if you bought at 220 it won't. I bought these for a safe boring ride delivering a ggood secure income. Having my income halved is not good.

tipton11 - 17 Nov 2008 12:51 - 196 of 714

why should BT cut its div ... results looked good to me

spitfire43 - 17 Nov 2008 14:24 - 197 of 714

Results looked good to me also, they have held interim dividend. The tone of interim statement was positive, with management taking decisive action at the Global Reach division.

marni - 17 Nov 2008 15:03 - 198 of 714

lol.....this has been a total dog for last decade!!

spitfire43 - 17 Nov 2008 15:10 - 199 of 714

very true, but every dog must have it's day.
