Suppose they are looked upon as defensive and the markets turned up above 5700..... but for how long.

Still think these 2 wiil resume upward momentum in next few sessions.

Hi All, yeah bought in AND. Got 642 as the upper trendline and stop 540, just bought some Paddy Power (luck of the Irish), chart to follow

Bought some PAP at 42, has bounced previously off the 50 EMA, Stochs oversold on the Daily and in a strong weekly uptrend. Innovative company with strong fundy's. Targeting upper Bolli line of 45.9 on the daily

I was thinking of shorting it last night on the weekly candles. Bullish doji has appeared today bouncing off 13 day EMA. So youve probably saved me some dosh kully.

Hey ups look out heading back down to 5700. Like a bloody super strong magnet. Some l be caught in a bear trap if it doesnt buck up.

Debating a buy on OXIG - good IMS, a slightly worrying one paragraph but appears to be priced in "Orders within both our Research and Industrial markets remained robust with the exception that, as expected, orders for High Brightness LED related equipment within our Plasma Technology business unit have fallen as overcapacity in this industry takes effect. Despite this, orders, sales and profits for the Group for the year to date and for the third quarter are ahead of the corresponding period last year and consistent with our expectations".

Shorted BVIC with a tight s/l- stuck in a rectangle trading range since Aug 2011. Downward trend since 29/11/2010, DAILY: stochs overbought, upper bolli range, MACD Positive Histo's easing. Doji's posted last few daily trading sessions indicating a possible reversal of short upward trend

Just looking at Andor AND chart above and it followed through on the hammer. Looks like going through 600p horizontal resistance then the uptrend channel resistance line about 620p ish.

Could be a quick 20 points up for grabs and then even more if it pushes on.

Problem is futures are negative for the open.

It could be an interesting day with many highs/breakouts being tested.

Short BBY, Bearish engulfing, hit upper bolli channel, stochs overbought and a Bearish MACD Divergence posted yday. See this as being a good year for the homebuilder's with easier access to mortgages but for now think BBY has run out of steam.

Weekend press should prove interesting, certainly no TA reason for a whoosh which is now 20% last two days. Comparably good volume on breakout, maybe the boy's on Fleet St filling their boots?

Persimmon trying for an upside breakout going back 3 years and proving tough. Think i'll wait for confirmation that it's broken free before entering. The better trade for a few extra pips could be enter now with a tightish stop loss if it does fall back into trading range...

Looks good KullyB, also waiting for confirmation of b/out to the upside. Many stocks and indeed the FTSE consolidating at these current levels. The next few weeks action should be interesting.

Yep I agree splat at around this 5700 level at some stage we are going to see a strong move one way or the other.

On the one hand we have the yanks appearingly to be doing well for the first time in a few years and on the other hand we still have the Euro problem underlined by Greece and Italy.

Which way will it go .........havent a clue.

I do know this its rather boring trading although their seems to be more and more horizontal ranges that can be traded both ways.
