Skinny lovely wide range aswel which makes it even better. Yep made a nice profit also out of this. Tesco result messed it up.

Gone long of Tesco this morning. If its good enough for Warren ...Ill have a chunk.

I expect him to be back aswel buying more at some time in the near future if he sticks to profile.

Tomatoes are shit at tesco from Polland and Holland whereas at Morrisons they normally come from the british Isles. Asda is the best mind usually all fresh veg from England and Yorkshire. Much better taste.

Them tomatoes from Tesco just taste of water.

Think Ill E-mail Warren as he follows me on twitter and ask him to get onto Tesco management and to suggest they source the tomatoes from this country.

Chris Carson - 20 Jan 2012 11:53 - 1874 of 3532

This is a similar chart, been trading for a while now, broke out of trading range SeChart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=MTO&Si pt/Oct.

skinny - 20 Jan 2012 13:30 - 1875 of 3532

Another one I watch - although as we said earlier - quite a few look like this atm.

Plateman - 20 Jan 2012 14:09 - 1876 of 3532

Skinny, I've been watching MRW closely with a view to longing it, of course the recent fallback was in sympathy with TSCO.

Seymour Clearly - 20 Jan 2012 14:58 - 1877 of 3532

Same here Plateman re MRW

goldfinger - 20 Jan 2012 15:18 - 1878 of 3532

TPK does look interesting Skinny. RSI looks a bit toppy but they can plateau for a while anyway. Onto the watch list it goes.

skinny - 20 Jan 2012 15:33 - 1879 of 3532

Plateman/ Seymour - I traded MRW twice last year both times to the long side and both very relaxing trades. It seems about in the middle of the old range atm and I'm looking to trade it to the long side again. Unfortunately I'm heavily into TSCO and also bought SBRY last week on the fall.

It also appears that the supermarkets are undergoing a re-rating.

goldfinger - 20 Jan 2012 16:21 - 1880 of 3532

This market feels like everything is in slow motion. Up 2 down 2 up 2 down 2.

We need a break either side.

Must say Im set up for the downside with my longs mostly all big defensive stocks. Got some RRL left tho.

Short on Skinnys Old Mutual . And way into profit on my long term short in NTA.

Like watching traffic lights change at moment.

Plateman - 20 Jan 2012 16:50 - 1881 of 3532

SK/SC Got a signal this morning to close a MRW short from 327.16 on 3rd Jan (which I didn't take.....Doh!), see what Monday brings, have a good weekend.

Chris Carson - 20 Jan 2012 17:15 - 1882 of 3532

Mixed week for me, closed BA. and MTO probably to early and most definately EXPN (bloody brokers) missed out on an extra 20 pips there, but looking like a short now anyway. RR. poor entry and well down but plenty of time to recover prior to results. Tsco was a nightmare, but will just keep rolling the spread on the quarterly bet, SBRY and MRW new quarterly bets ditto. Got Buy/Sell orders not triggered yet either way on SMP and CEY. Not a good week to attempt the quit smoking New Year resolution :O) Got a batch of patches and mints, start Monday, taking a weeks break away from the screen only way it's going to happen. Good luck guys!

skinny - 20 Jan 2012 17:19 - 1883 of 3532

Chris - giving up is easy, I've done it loads of times!

Seriously, I gave up last new year and found it quite easy as I had made my mind up this time. I don't miss it at all - I was smoking about 10 cigars a day.

Chris Carson - 20 Jan 2012 17:24 - 1884 of 3532

LOL skinny, prior to TSCO results managed to cut down from 40 cigs a day to 15. Only way like you say is just quit, set the date Monday, and the Mrs is going to hide the mouse so I can't trade. We'll see :O)

skinny - 20 Jan 2012 17:31 - 1885 of 3532

Good luck! :-)

goldfinger - 21 Jan 2012 05:02 - 1886 of 3532

Ohhhh chris you poor devil. My brother s tried it and it sends him crazy.

Thank god Ive never smoked. Plenty of the other vice tho ehh skinny LOL.

Good luck chris and dont forget come back the week after.

All have a good weekend.

goldfinger - 21 Jan 2012 05:05 - 1887 of 3532

PS.. ETI skinny gets a mention in one of saturdays rags. Fosters column, is it the express or maybe the mail. Saw it up on twitter about an hour ago.

goldfinger - 21 Jan 2012 05:12 - 1888 of 3532
