busy day on the thread...directors takeup is small but there may have been limits imposed because of the high demand from institutions. that is my take on things....

Good point proptrade!
I note their total holdings amount to in excess of 10 million at 17p per share.
Nearly as much as me!

Since outside shareholders were not given the opportunity, they couldn't take up too much could they? More a case of flying the flag by buying a nominal amount. Most of them don't need much more in any case.

My 23rd wedding anniversary Saturday.
Taking the Missus out for a meal at the chippy! Round to the Foresters Pub on the Sea Front.
Have to keep her under 6 pints though, any more than that and she ends up picking fights..............
Wouldn't mind but she insists on driving home, I know it's wrong! I'll just do 4 pints, so I should drive but there you go...........

Commentry from one of my "Mates" on ADVFN..................(Not Harry I don't think!)
To alL those selling now....
You may be gaining 0.75p a share if you got shares in the placing and for say 50,000 you will make an easy 300 but the way to make money out of the e & p sector is to spot the shares that will double, triple, etc. and hold.
Looking at all the e & p stocks right now I would argue that most are pretty much fully valued. Out of them SEY stands out to me at the best prospect. Here is a summary of the reasons..
-the company has a strong revenue and asset base with its Gulf of Mexico assets
- the company has not 1 but 2 'transforming deals'
The first is its free carry royalty for offshore Mauritania where the Chinguetti field will be producing in 2006. The Toif discovery is the excitement here. Already expected to be about 2 and a half times bigger than Chinguetti, the field looks enormous. And the operator still has a number of prospects yet to explore. Overall this could triple the current level of co. profits.
The second is the deal with the Mauritania goverment for a profit share in 12% of Chinguetti. In a couple of years this could also triple co. profits or more. And there is the additional chance that further deals will be done with the government. Political risk is there as with any government in Africa - the institutions who have oversubscribed for the shares are confident enough. And the deal 'wipes its face' with oil at $20 (currently $45+).
Obviously I hold the shares so I am biased but I genuinely can't find a better investment in the sector.

Been in business for my self so I know what it's like. I think you should get 40K just for the worry and that's before taking a wage. But it's not like that. Hope it all works out for you and your family. Remember you can always join SWW missus.
