ok,
looks like some of the servers are having problems with the connection - we are restarting if you refresh a few times you should be able to re connect in a minute or so. Apologies for this temporary outage.

Working again now. Trouble is every time I log on I always expect problems these days.
Appreciate you are working hard to fix these problems and you must be as fed up as we are, but patience is wearing a bit thin.

jimmy,
this is due to a lag in one of the databases which is being worked on as per previous posts. As soon as this work is complete this will be resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience,
Ian

Any idea why.

Greek,
Again this is linked to the data base lagging problem. I apologise

Ok but when will this particular problem be sorted. Will the lag catch up before tomorrow, as if it does not then it will be too late as it never shows a previous days gains/loss.
For your info I have copied Portfolio and Stockwatch. I looks as if my portfolio is still on yesterdays prices. Is the Stockwatch correct or also lagging.
Details as follows.
Portfolio.
Performance Since Value Today's Change %
Yesterday Blanked out by me. 0.84 .0%
Stockwatch. 7 stocks all gains +1.32% +0.58% +.84% +6.99% +1.47% +9.21% +8.70%

Jonathan : been in meetings sorry for late reply but as MM says there is a firewall issue.
We did a few tests a couple of years ago to no avail but have always been happy with non streaming in any case ... when it works :-)
Cheers

All
Apart from general bugs which will occur from time to time on a site of this nature, we are dealing with 2 main issues at the moment which are generating the majority of the postings on this thread. One is an issue that is based with us and one is a supplier issue.
Number 1 - the data base issue we have had this week which has caused the lag in figures on our static (HTML non streaming) pages. We are and have been working on this, and hope to implement new hardware early next week (after rigourous testing) which should move to stop this problem and restore a stable service
Number 2 - this is the supplier issue. The incidents of rogue orders appearing on level 2 are eminating from our supplier - we have been liaising with them all week, and they have been working to resolve this issue. The problem is to do with temporary drops in the feed (by temporary I mean literally a second at a time) at one of their data centres in the USA. They have been liaising with their colleagues over there to find out which piece of hardware is causing this and to then resolve this.
A fix was supposed to have gone in for this yesterday night out of UK market hours, but this did not happen (we are unsure of the reasons until our supplier feeds back to us from their US conterparts). However, this means that they are aware of where the problem lies, and they are close to issuing a resolution for it.
So please treat this as the latest update, and I will of course let you know when these fixes have gone into place.
