MAJOR CONTRACTS WITH PEPSICO AND WHOLE EARTH

TO SUPPLY REBAUDIOSIDE-A (REB-A*) AND EXCLUSIVE LICENSE TO MARKET REB-A UNDER THE PureVia BRAND

PEPSICO AND WHOLE EARTH INTRODUCE ALL-NATURAL, ZERO-CALORIE SWEETENER WITH PURECIRCLE-SOURCED REB-A

The Board of PureCircle announces that it has signed substantial, long-term contracts with PepsiCo and Whole Earth Sweetener Company for the supply of high purity Reb-A for use in beverages and tabletop sweeteners worldwide under the PureVia brand. In addition, PepsiCo and Whole Earth will grant PureCircle an exclusive license to market Reb-A under the PureVia brand in certain categories. PureCircle will be entitled to all profits (including sub-licensing fees) related to this exclusive licensing agreement.

PureCircle will continue to be free to sell the non-branded ingredient to all customers across all categories and geographies.

The announcement, from PepsiCo and Whole Earth Sweetener Company, states that PureVia will debut in a new nutritionally-enhanced PepsiCo beverage called 'SoBe Life,' to be launched in Latin America, starting with Peru. PureViaTM will be available initially in three SoBe Life flavour blends: Tropical-Pomegranate, Strawberry-Kiwi and Orange-Tangerine.

Meanwhile, PureVia tabletop sweetener will launch in the United States this autumn, before expanding into drink and food products around the world.

Commenting on the contract award, Magomet Malsagov, Managing Director of PureCircle, said:

my guess is nowhere tomorrow ..... in fact have just opened a short on Dow which i may well hold o'night

behaved myself and closed out for a nice little profit made in just 20 minutes or so .... could have been double, but good enough!

I too sold out yesterday - looking at it now my belief is that may have been one day too early, but in any event am expecting a general pull back over the next few weeks.

I'll certainly revisit this then.

market hs certainly ben stronger this morning than i expected, and PURE seems to have broken that stern resistance ..... provided the markets now hold steady, then arguably worth a modest dabble on chart basis

"Natural sweetener producer PureCircle says the $32m expansion of its extraction plant complex in Jiangxi province, south eastern China, has been completed on schedule.

The group also says doubling of Reb A refining capacity to 2,000 tonnes at its Malaysian refinery is expected to be completed on time by the end of 2009.

The Jiangxi upgrade programme ensures it continues to be the world's largest stevia extract factory, says PureCircle. "

"It is amazing what happens when the market gets the wrong end of the stick. Purecircle, the malaysian company, put out a trading update on wednesday that most chief executives would die for! Sales up 85%, annual profits to quintuple & talks in progress with more than 100 food & beverage brands following the approval of the product by the US FDA. Bear in mind the company has already secured PepsiCo & Cargill (Coke) as anchor customers. but the shares fell 17% because the statement reported sales of 264 tonnes of REB A, below matket expectations of 350 tonnes. Then on thursday, Liberum Capital published research in to the company, which raised $50m at 170p a share when it joined AIM in december 2007, valuing each share at 410p. The shares responded by rising 29% to 210p on thursday & closed yesterday 222.5p "

Nope, just that the sp has run it's course and the party is over. Worth watching, imo, for the end of the downtrend, but looks like 100p is the very last support level. EK has been short for a while now.

PureCircle, the world's leading producer and marketer of high purity stevia ingredients has announced that for the financial year to 30 June 2014 sales increased $31m (44%) to $101m, compared to the previous year.

Revenue grew in all sales regions grew compared with FY13.

Volumes increased 37% led by sales of new ingredients from its Stevia 3.0 TM portfolio. Overall volumes of new innovations showed strong year on year growth, offset by lower co-product volumes.

Operating profit improved $16m to $17m and EBITDA increased $14m (152%) to $23m reflecting growth in sales volumes and improving gross margin percentage, partially offset by increased investment in its market application capacity.

Net profit after tax was $2m, an $11m improvement on the previous year reflencting the $14m EBITDA improvement partially offset by higher interest charge.

The Group says that it is sufficiently funded for its current expansion plans and that it will continue to invest in management to support growth effectively in a sustained manner.
