If Bt has bought back 2million 5 thousand shares to day. How come it shows on trades as a sell?

In response to an earlier question as to why the divi should be cut, the answer is because BT warned that full year earnings at BT Global Services are likely to come in significantly below expectations. The boss of that sector has resigned & the BT board pointedly refused to be drawn on whether the final divi would be unchanged. Most brokers have reduced the divi to two thirds of free cash flow, giving a 2009/10 figure of 9.6p.
Of course this is all 'Informed comment' as the final decision rests with The Board, but as they are saying nothing, most brokers fear the worst.

Well it finally happened a fall to 100p worth a bet.

bought @ 107p and now 112p thats 5p profit not a bad days work.. still hold.

Yes got a few myself between 108.5 - 110 - you must have been early to get them at 107 mitzy! Dow just had 100 point viagra charge!

you may have bought my short covering? i only bought back half my holding. hope it rallys for you, i will will be looking to reinstate my shorts at some time. might not of course. m & s ? lol.
