:-)

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 08:46 - 2601 of 2763

Pile of plop. I got out straight away first time why are they reporting soon?

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 08:48 - 2602 of 2763

Gold and silver miners going well cyners........loads err money.

Pity you missed out.

cynic - 19 Jan 2015 09:03 - 2603 of 2763

i think THT has just reported ..... you know i never bought them because i always said the product was dreadful .... i recollect you mentioning that i was wrong and that they were flying off the shelves in M&S

Balerboy - 19 Jan 2015 09:04 - 2604 of 2763

Gold dropping.,.

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 09:10 - 2605 of 2763

Gold going up on my platform???????

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 09:21 - 2606 of 2763

Down now a tad BB as is silver.

Lets face it its going to be a rocky ride.

EC....... QE will keep it high enough for gold stocks to appreciate for a while yet.

As will deflation in the major economies.

I bet the next figures we get on inflation are near minus.

Why be in sterling when Gold is rising?

Same can be said of most of the major economies.

cynic - 19 Jan 2015 09:34 - 2607 of 2763

whether or not i missed out with your recommended miners is one thing, but i have assuredly done very well indeed in the last few weeks playing dow and occasionally ftse

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 09:38 - 2608 of 2763

Yep and Ive had a stonking last 6 months on stocks. Well done cyners. I knew you were on form.

Just looking at my account on IG.

A very big 7 figure profit over that period.

pst dont tell doodlemug. he he.

Shortie - 19 Jan 2015 09:42 - 2609 of 2763

Worth a sector watch I think.

Hutchison Whampoa is in early talks to buy O2, the Sunday Times reported. Since BT started the process to buy EE, UK telecoms operators have been seeking to form alliances. "Everyone is talking to everyone," an industry insider told the paper.

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 09:54 - 2610 of 2763

hmmmmmm interesting Shortie.

As long as they are cash deals.

Cant stand these special divis and share swaps.

MMs just take the pith and mark the SP down after a divi play.

Shortie - 19 Jan 2015 10:13 - 2611 of 2763

Here's the FT link GF, I tend to stay away from telecoms with bets but some of you guys might be holding equity. Vodafone is all I have..

Opec is dead: The oil war could crown America as the global swing producer

http://www.cityam.com/207355/opec-dead-oil-war-could-crown-america-global-swing-producer

Yet another good article, its makes me wonder just how many of the smaller off-shore producers are an easy short. As you know off-shore production costs the most and these guys get priced out the market first.

goldfinger - 19 Jan 2015 10:44 - 2615 of 2763

Yep and the shale miners. Got to be careful though shorting in this sector. Just an annoucement from opec and we could be fecked.

Shortie - 19 Jan 2015 10:50 - 2616 of 2763

Maybe I'll look for strong support then and place long bets waiting for OPEC to cut production!!

aldwickk - 19 Jan 2015 11:03 - 2617 of 2763

ITV moving up today, maybe its all the telecom action

cynic - 19 Jan 2015 11:11 - 2618 of 2763

the report of OPEC's imminent demise is more than a little fanciful
