BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

I asked someone as well and they confirmed my view that they used to take lay-off bets from outside bookmekers. The person I asked worked on the same computer system as I did at Tote Investors. They did not take bets on the Jackpot etc as the Jackpot bet was only introduced during the last years that I worked there and was only just beginning to be popular.

JKD.thanks..I think you are learning?.BTWdont need luck on this one!
HaystackThe Tote was established by Act of Parliament in 1928. Its original purpose was to offer on-course pool betting on horseracing as an alternative to starting price betting with bookmakers and to distribute its profits for purposes conducive to the improvement of breeds of horses or the sport of horseracing. 1973 Tote Bookmakers launched.
Haystackit was tote Bookmakersnow rebranding as Totesportthat took bets from outside Bookmakersthat is Bookmaker to Bookmakerplease dont argue with Tote themselves.

I worked there 1965-1967 and at that stage it was called Tote Investors Ltd. It predates Tote Bookmakers. It was set up in 1930, but it was bought by the Tote in 1962, It was the credit betting part of the Tote, where you could have a credit account and bet just as though you were at the track (ie buying a sher of the pool). We had around 80,000 accounts at the time. Tot Investors took lay-off bets from bookmakers on credit in a similar way to other credit account holders making bets. The difference was the telpphone that they were allocated. Bookmakers got one set of numbers, high spending accounts got another set and the rest went through a hunting group.

The bookmakers' calls popped up in a special department to take bookies lay-off bets. The system had been going before I went there and the guy I contacted, confirmed that it was still going five years after I left in 1972 when he left.

It doesn't matter whether you believe me or not. I worked there at the time and had lots of dealings with the department and with the bookies concerned. The biggest bookie to use the systems was William Hill. Their head office was just over Blackfriars Bridge. Our office was in New Bridge St on the other side of the bridge. I walked across the bridge many times to discuss the laying-off system.

"It doesn't matter whether you believe me or not. " So why do you keep posting about it then? Seems like it matters quite a lot.

I don't see why tabby should be allowed to get away with postinghis usual nonsense without any reply. It doesn't change the truth of the subject. It is is useful to show that tabby is full of sh*t.

rsi suggests possibly otherwise and VOLUME just dont confirm. mind you if its already been 90% bought and held, that is going to take some confirming.the volume that is.
be careful. one day this is going to make a sharp pull back. might then be a buy, might not. just be careful.

Haystack - 31 Aug 2010 00:39 - 2681 of 6187

Well, you may be right about a couple of things, but you continue to wrong about the Tote.

Isaacs - 31 Aug 2010 07:48 - 2682 of 6187

Haystack - why do you care if he posts what you think is nonsense? I think you are obsessed and perhaps need another hobby (or at least another thread.) You are not even interested in trading BLNX.

Yes, a new high.
The trouble is,a lot of them can't stop banging their heads against a brick wall .
My advice to them is to take a break. You'd be surprised how much better it feels!

ravey davy gravy - 01 Sep 2010 14:47 - 2688 of 6187

Tabasco.

Agree with the traders theory, they cannot wait to get out of stocks rather than
stay in them, mm's just know all they have to do is drop one quote on L2 and they
are flock to give their stock back to them especially in the small oil and mining stocks, Blnx does surprise me because i've never really liked it even when it was
20p but i wont be deramping it here but catch them when sentiment is hot and it
dont matter what the fundamentals say they keep rising, i'd be tempted to sell 10% into each 10% new rise just to be safe in the knowledge that you have got some out at the high if they do start to fall back medium term.
