Balerboy - 28 Feb 2012 10:01 - 2899 of 5505

Wonder if pro, will spout forth and say he bought back in on the low.......

niceonecyril - 28 Feb 2012 10:02 - 2900 of 5505

This post i've copied sums up my thoughts.

Not falling for all this negativity... Look at the trading going on for the last month or so, look at the press article, the message to pi's from tk, the move into Kurdistan by Exxon and total, the sh4 testing results to come, the bb drill extension (dry my arse...why drill more if it's been dry two thirds of the way down?), the ab sale, the appointment of the best sales brokers in the world, the awarding of 15 mill shares to ak (hold them until take out darling, you'll get your 100m plus a 100%), the closing down of Algeria, the grh maps, cj and his contacts, noble trader and his ear to the ground, the recent broker reports (too transparent), the noise about Kurdistan going it alone (greAt), a judge who dismissed the court case as opportunistic, the last great oil rush, the dwindling of super giants....and...

Gkp, just chilling, holding onto all that news that it has, just knowing, that they have a friggin rediculous amount of oil and that they could phone any bank manager or institution up at any time on any day and raise half a billion just like that.....and produce the fucker themselves if they want....

I give it a month to be through £5....

Balerboy - 28 Feb 2012 10:02 - 2901 of 5505

cyril you questioned my trading these not long ago....... change of stance maybe .,.

cynic - 28 Feb 2012 10:07 - 2902 of 5505

and have now sold that extra slice at 366.25 ..... 32p per share clear profit in 1.5 hours is perfectly satisfactory!

niceonecyril - 28 Feb 2012 10:09 - 2903 of 5505

BB i said i've all i need,of which i won't or haven't sold until buy out,but a t20 at sub 340p seemed a snip,to good to miss.

niceonecyril - 28 Feb 2012 10:11 - 2904 of 5505

To add, as i mentioned before,a bid can come out of the blue, then it'll be to late.

Balerboy - 28 Feb 2012 10:14 - 2905 of 5505

agreed cyril, only a bit of leg pull.,.

niceonecyril - 28 Feb 2012 10:22 - 2906 of 5505

Fairenough lol, here's a post by the well respected Zengas and ties in with my thoughts ,along with some unteresting about computer trading.
Off out,the dog(gracie)awaits.

The thread is running at 5-700+ posts a day. There's not much else to say that has not been said over and over. We have been in this situation before umpteen times. I'm waiting solely for the end game here now and expect a bid. We all know where GKP are at in terms of moving the Shaikan field towards development and i expect a deal of some kind to emerge soon.

An interesting piece in the Mail on Sunday ((Feb 26th) about hedge fund trading and the number of funds whose decisions are completely generated by computer with AHL being the biggest computerised hedge fund in the world - who knows what your up against in the short term though a computer can't predict what a companys' next move is (bid etc) but fwiw we've had these pull backs from highs before and i see it as all part and parcel to the end game without having to watch every single day from market open to close. I don't beleive the buying and volume that pushed us to 450p was the work of PIs.

HARRYCAT - 28 Feb 2012 10:24 - 2907 of 5505

"...........a bid can come out of the blue, then it'll be too late." And if it doesn't, the sp will drift off to it's comfort level either side of 300p.

cynic - 28 Feb 2012 10:28 - 2908 of 5505

a good politician's comment, harry ..... hedge all bets and then say "told you so" after the event

HARRYCAT - 28 Feb 2012 10:40 - 2909 of 5505

Not at all. This stock has been hyped for years on just about every discussion board going, with a fair smattering of 'experts' and is one of the few stocks, imo, where investors are in danger of believing thier own hype and the hype of others. I was just replying to Cyril's comment for balance!

cynic - 28 Feb 2012 11:05 - 2910 of 5505

exactly how a politico would respond! :-)

HARRYCAT - 28 Feb 2012 11:26 - 2911 of 5505

LOL....The epitome of diplomacy I thought! ;o)

niceonecyril - 28 Feb 2012 12:14 - 2912 of 5505

Harry ask yourself,is their oil,how much and what's a fair value? The answers are,YES(producing 10kbopd),many billions as reported and then put a figure on what a barrel of oil's worth in the ground P(2).
We'ra soon to get an independent accessment of SH4's reserves,Tony Haywood(ex BP CEO)stated it has the potetial to be a MAJOR OIL FIELD.
