Video search engine company Blinkx PLC (BLNX.LN) said Friday it is placing 23.2 million new shares--7% of the enlarged share capital--through a bookbuild to fund its growth strategy.

The bookbuild process will be managed by Citigroup Global Markets U.K. Equity Ltd. and is expected to close no later than 1700 GMT Friday.

The company's largest shareholder, Autonomy Corp. PLC (AU.LN), intends to subscribe for shares in the placing, Blinkx said.

Given as this weeks SHARES "Play of the Week"
They reckon what has happened so far is just the beginning.
The enormous growth in online advertising being one of the main reasons cited.
I reckon shorting here to be a bit like playing Russian roulette with a bullet in every chamber.
