BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

tabasco - 21 Oct 2010 15:46 - 3081 of 6187

Blnx market price 87.5p for the short man that never gets it right!

chessplayer - 21 Oct 2010 15:55 - 3082 of 6187

Given as this weeks SHARES "Play of the Week"
They reckon what has happened so far is just the beginning.
The enormous growth in online advertising being one of the main reasons cited.
I reckon shorting here to be a bit like playing Russian roulette with a bullet in every chamber.
Good luck to you!

tabasco - 21 Oct 2010 16:06 - 3083 of 6187

ChessI take Gausie short as a massive plushe is never right with this stockor many others come to that. interesting to note a few large sells today after the 23 ml placingprobably a little profit taking on the 5% discountanyway still less than 1% down with half hour to go

chessplayer - 22 Oct 2010 08:32 - 3084 of 6187

In the SHARES article referred to above, research from eMarketer reckons online video advertising growth to increase 5 fold by 2014 to $11.3 billion.
Obviously, therefore, there is plenty of reason to be excited over prospects for Blinkx.

tabasco - 22 Oct 2010 09:25 - 3085 of 6187

Chessand we are best positioned to take advantage of this!

Add this recent news together and see what you thinkSuranga talked to the City just before the placinghe stated this was to provide additional funding to support the growth strategy.the 23,213,763 was sold within two hoursthat is 7.0% of the enlarged issued sold immediately to the fund managers and his best mate at almost retail priceDont you think he gave them a few little clues on the coming monthsthe Doctor knows BLNX inside outhe wanted moreso did the fund managers strange for a company that has jumped from 12p to 90p in a few months?so why would those that are truly in the know and witnessed this already meteoric rise... want more and more?...some people make it look difficult...lol

Its simples for those that look at the factsdifficult for those that expect the norm..enter Gausie!

chessplayer - 22 Oct 2010 09:49 - 3086 of 6187

Tabby
Spot on.We might well have a 10 a share stock sooner rather than later.
As the old adage goes, " From the little seed grew the great oak."
For the life of me I cannot understand how one cannot see the potential here.
Still,there loss not ours!

chessplayer - 22 Oct 2010 12:14 - 3087 of 6187

Black Rock have increased their holding in Blinkx to over 5%

tabasco - 22 Oct 2010 12:37 - 3088 of 6187

So Suranga obviously convinced the Black Rock Fund Manager that there was a lot more meat on the bone
This stock has been rubber stamped so many times you wonder when some will grasp this Royal Flush?

chessplayer - 25 Oct 2010 10:23 - 3089 of 6187

A reccommendation from one of the dailies would be just the tonic.

Introducing Cheep: Smart, Social Shopping

Cheep Helps You Find the Best Deals on the Web and Connects You to a Community
of Friends and Fellow Shoppers

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF.-October 26, 2010-Cheep, a smart, social shopping service
brought to you by blinkx, today announced the opening of its site to all
consumers in the United States, following a successful invitation-only beta
period.
Through a small browser add-on, Cheep recognizes when you're looking at a
specific product and helps you find the best deal, by showing you current,
accurate price comparisons from around the Web, as well as reviews and ratings,
unobtrusively and in real-time. We've indexed nearly 200 of the Web's biggest
and best retailers, including Amazon, BestBuy and Walmart, so everything-from
batteries to trampolines-is on there for your viewing, reviewing and shopping
pleasure.
When you join Cheep, you also become part of a community. Cheep lets you share
your shopping activity-where you browsed, what you bought, whether you liked it
and how much it cost-with other members. The Cheep site, www.getcheep.com, shows
a real-time stream of shopping activity-as you peruse and purchase products
online, you can share that information with friends and like-minded shoppers in
the Cheep community, and, in turn, view and comment on their shopping.
"Cheep capitalizes on the two greatest strengths of the Web-the power to find
and compare vast amounts of information, and the ability to connect people-and
combines them to reinvent the online shopping experience," said Suranga
Chandratillake, founder and CEO, blinkx. "Cheep offers price comparison, which
is smart and efficient, and also community, because shopping is most fun when
it's social. The Internet really came alive for people when it stopped being
about connecting computers and started being about connecting people-Cheep does
both. Simply put, Cheep is a fun way to find out from your friends and others
what to buy, and where, for the right price."
Get Cheep
To get Cheep, go to www.getcheep.com, create your user profile and download the
browser add-on, which is currently available for Internet Explorer and Firefox
for Mac and PC. Then start shopping! Once you're signed up, you can also connect
and add friends through Facebook and Twitter.
See Cheep
Once you have the Cheep browser add-on, Cheep recognizes when you're looking at
a specific product and helps you find the best deal by showing you current,
accurate price comparisons from around the Web, as well as reviews and
ratings-unobtrusively and in real-time.
Cheep appears as a small bar at the top of your screen when you're looking at a
product page, and also embedded into product search results pages as a
highlighted link.
Be Cheep
Cheep is also a shopping community, built on the premise of sharing: if we all
share a little bit, then together we can gather a whole load of really awesome
information-from who's got the best deals on the Playstation 3, to where to go
for a really unique piece of jewelry.
If you choose to participate, Cheep makes it incredibly easy for you to share
your shopping. You can shop online as usual while the add-on shares your
browsing, purchases, likes and reviews with the community, and in turn, you can
interact with other members and comment on their activity. We also understand
that there might be some things you don't want to share, so we have simple,
clear privacy controls built right into Cheep that allow you to turn your
purchase broadcasts "on" or "off".
Cheep is a community for anyone who shops online, likes a good deal and enjoys
interacting with friends. Bargain-hunters, social networking fiends and product
experts will find themselves right at home on Cheep, along with consumers who
just want to make sure they're getting the best deal. The service is free to
