With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Hilary have a look at the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. stock chart over the last twenty years Better still go back to 1965 when Warren Buffet started to purchaseLook at all those nasty sp drops on the way up Only a mug would have stayed invested and a blind one at that To have an investment for 35 years is ridiculous all those mugs must have been emotionally attached. Cant think why?

They should have gone to Hilary/Gausie they would have put us all straight nothing wrong with their specs!

tabasco - 01 Dec 2010 09:14 - 3320 of 6187

And Hilary come on..If it's a mirage, why's the price coming down on good news?

I am far too shrewd and so are you to expect me to buy that argumenttriple lol.

Gausie - 01 Dec 2010 09:17 - 3321 of 6187

Yep Hils, and whilst you're at it take a look at Calluna, monicello, meldex, cammel laird, Real Hotel Group, TEP exchange, myhome international, tomco, BICC and about 5,000 other "buy and hold thru the dips" companies that didn't make it.

hilary - 01 Dec 2010 09:18 - 3322 of 6187

You're confusing the Sage of Omaha with sage and onion stuffing there, Tabster. This pile of crap will have gone bust well before 35 years are up.

tabasco - 01 Dec 2010 09:25 - 3323 of 6187

HilaryOKyou wont mind me posting all of your categorical statements up here there and everywheregood publicity for you if proven correcta large Ostrich egg running down your face when you are not!!!! readers of your website might also take an interest in your judgementI know I would?

tabasco - 01 Dec 2010 09:28 - 3324 of 6187

Gausieyour examples are chicken feed compared to WBbut then so are your trades!

Gausie - 01 Dec 2010 09:48 - 3325 of 6187

That's the whole point tabby. BLINKX is also chicken shit in comparison to Wozzer, and also in comparison to many of the big names that ultimately bit the dust.

Clearly you've bought BLNX thinking you've bought Berkshire Hathaway. Statistically you're more likely to have bought meldex.

tabasco - 01 Dec 2010 10:06 - 3326 of 6187

GausieI am already up an embarrassing amount of moneybut let the best man win I will be quick to post all your previous advicelolcourtesy of a fan club member

cynic - 01 Dec 2010 10:09 - 3327 of 6187

cut the bickering children - it's getting a little repetitive
short term, BLNX's sp is clearly under pressure for whatever reason
only time will tell - maybe as little as a year - whether or not the company falls into MDX or RKH territory

hilary - 01 Dec 2010 10:17 - 3328 of 6187

We're not bickering at all. Tabster is MoneyAM's favourite contrarian indicator, so Gausie and I are merely trying to look after him.

cynic - 01 Dec 2010 10:29 - 3329 of 6187

and told without an iota of irony too

tabasco - 01 Dec 2010 10:44 - 3330 of 6187

Online video search service Blinkx is gaining worldwide distribution of its app on Samsung's new Galaxy tablet as the device is rolled out internationally.

UK-based Blinkx partnered with the consumer electronics giant in the summer to have its Blinkx Beat app featured on Samsung's Galaxy S mobile handset. Now it's doing the same with the Galaxy Tab deployment.

The app offers a playlist of the most popular videos from around the web and offers users the ability to find others using Blinkx's proprietary search technology.

Blinkx Beat, which started out online, has also been tweaked to work on Google TV devices, which run on the same Android operating system as the Samsung products.

cynic - 01 Dec 2010 16:12 - 3336 of 6187

well hils and gausie, you could have made money today, but you'ld have needed to be quite nimble, and methinks neither of you are really of day-trader mentality

hilary - 01 Dec 2010 16:19 - 3337 of 6187

I only daytrade currencies and stock indices, Cyners. The best returns on something like this come over days, weeks or even longer.

jkd - 01 Dec 2010 16:34 - 3338 of 6187

i agree h
tabby will disappear from this thread if this dont work out just as gnasher did over on the nighthawk thread.;-) if it works out of course he will publish and continue to repeat all yours and g's comments as he is suggesting, or is that threatening? to do so unless you shut up.bully tactics. anyway were all wrong at times so it dont really matter. just that some seem unable to admit and own to it, unlike others.
