Sp back on their website...no news....

grevis2 - 18 Apr 2012 10:31 - 347 of 1086

0917 GMT [Dow Jones] Borders & Southern Petroleum (BOR.LN) shares soar over 33% to 93p, with traders noting market speculation that the company has struck oil around the Falkland Islands. However, a spokesman for the company says it hasn't received drilling results yet and will update the market as soon as the results come in. Shares in other Falkland Islands explorers are also up in sympathy, including Falkland Oil & Gas Ltd. (FOGL.LN) +18% at 81.0p, Argos Resources (ARG.LN) +137% at 18.9p, Desire Petroleum (DES.LN) +6.4% at 29.8p, and Rockhopper Exploration (RKH.LN) +3.3% at 365.8p. (iain.packham@dowjones.com)

Proselenes - 18 Apr 2012 10:34 - 348 of 1086

How can their be results if the company has not released an RNS :) LOL

Dow Jones are muppets are they not - the company is hardly likely to say we have the results but not telling anyone.

They will wait for the official drilling results - and then an RNS will be released, its pretty simple.

Might not be until next week.....for the moment rumours of oil look good....but who knows ?....by the way the sp has reacted : it looks like a commercial discovery will send the sp to two pounds plus.....at least....fingers crossed and it might drop like a stone.....but perhaps if a certain amount of oil is there then the sp might stabilize around 50 to 70p ahead of the next spud.....pure guesswork....

Going long on FOGL now......will be patient right through the summer....at this stage...preferable than BOR for that....gives me more time.....

Proselenes - 18 Apr 2012 11:38 - 351 of 1086

Looks like the next wave of deramping is to bullshit about "gas shows only".

LOL -

required field - 18 Apr 2012 11:42 - 352 of 1086

At the moment the flat spot looks like : gas above oil....rather than gas above water.....very promising for the rest of the campaign and this would encourage rig owners to allow a move to the falklands for future wells,,,,

OIL !

required field - 18 Apr 2012 12:06 - 356 of 1086

Where's the news ?.....

Proselenes - 18 Apr 2012 12:12 - 357 of 1086

The rumour is that they found

Gas on top of oil but thin oil pay - which is why all the initial naysayers were saying non-market pleasing news is coming last week.

However, they run a sidetrack to find thicker net pay and they did just that Sunday/Monday - and so not only do we have gas net pay but also oil net pay and not a thin slice, its substantial

Thats the rumours - enjoy them.

IMO, NAG, DYOR !

required field - 18 Apr 2012 12:14 - 358 of 1086

Hats off to you Prosels if you are right !.....so the gas could be exploited at the same time oil is recovered.....if this is true : good news for future drilling around that area....

Proselenes - 18 Apr 2012 12:27 - 359 of 1086

Should see upwards movement from 2pm to 2:30pm

The shorters will have to close their positions they opened this morning and all those that sold hoping to buy lower will have to buy back in as they will "not want to be out of this overnight" - just in case 7am RNS tomorrow morning.

required field - 18 Apr 2012 12:33 - 360 of 1086

To me if they have moveable oil in any shape or form : that's good news for all....

HARRYCAT - 18 Apr 2012 13:03 - 361 of 1086

92.6p Glad I held my nerve this morning. Happy to hold for now.

Proselenes - 18 Apr 2012 13:21 - 362 of 1086

I made this earlier to show FOGL follow on wells that would be derisked by success of the 4 wells (2 BOR and 2 FOGL) planned this year.

You can see that success at Darwin unlocks a lot of potential barrels into play for FOGL.
