dreamcatcher - 01 May 2012 07:31 - 3471 of 5221

That quarter rolled round quick, only seems like last night we had the last one. :-))

Well, well (not a pun) it seems that even RRL can't tell the difference between Colombia and Columbia!

Colombia

During the quarter the Company announced that it is had secured a
65% farm-in opportunity (350m of 3D seismic, 2 new wells and 1 well re-entry)
on two highly prospective licenses in the on shore Putamayo basin in Southern
Columbia.

dreamcatcher - 01 May 2012 09:24 - 3476 of 5221

perhaps we are drilling in South Carolina then kim. lol Only a few miles between the two locations. If ranges personnel cant find the rig in Carolina, they will just have to catch a bus to Colombia. :-))

kimoldfield - 01 May 2012 10:38 - 3477 of 5221

I hope it's an express bus!

Balerboy - 01 May 2012 11:07 - 3478 of 5221

Mega bus.......on the cheap.,.

kimoldfield - 01 May 2012 12:21 - 3479 of 5221

dreamcatcher - 01 May 2012 12:24 - 3480 of 5221

oh by airbus .

Range Resources reports 'robust' cash balance, looks forward to Shabeel-1 results

The share is starting to come under a lot of selling pressure. Who knows if its nervous
public investors or they have just had enough of a seemingly never ending downward trend. If news is still two weeks away and some where between we just get another
depth report, I just wonder whats going to stop this falling until then.
Beginning to think the companies are going to be forced to bring forward good news, if its to be had. If its bad well the sp is starting to price this in and nothing lost of not issuing news.

dreamcatcher - 01 May 2012 15:05 - 3483 of 5221

Horn down 4.62%

dreamcatcher - 01 May 2012 16:14 - 3484 of 5221

Horn falling 6.36%

required field - 01 May 2012 18:41 - 3485 of 5221

50/50 as to if there is something commercial.......might not yet have reached target but must be close by now....luckily RRL have many prospects....

dreamcatcher - 01 May 2012 18:44 - 3486 of 5221

Your right rf the big word being COMMERCIAL.

required field - 01 May 2012 18:57 - 3487 of 5221

At a guess if we look at the negative side : the sp for RRL would probably pull back to 7p.....and then I reckon over a couple of weeks then recover because less than 10p is still cheap.....if by good fortune they hit the target : well 20p should be on the cards...perhaps a lot, lot more...30p...perhaps.....now it's a gamble but with Texas, Trinidad, Georgia and a few more plus another well in Puntland and the offshore 2d and 3d to look forward to...it looks pretty good longterm....

Puntland Regional Politician Talks of Oil Discovery
One of our own contributors here at Dissident Nation had the opportunity this past week in Somalia to sit down with a Puntland regional leader, whose identity we will not reveal, in a small local conference, and listen to him ramble about the goings-on in Puntland, and the politico had this barrage of interesting points.

The leader, who we’ll call The Director, started on a negative note, stating his dislike of current Puntland President Abdirahman Faroole. The Director told our reporter that Faroole has concentrated his efforts on Nugaal and Bari Provinces, where oil exploration is ongoing, and told us that there is a road in the works that would connect the inland Nugaal Valley town and Puntland capital of Garowe to the seaside town of Eyl.

Security has also been ramped up in the two aforementioned oil-speculated provinces, as piracy moves south into Mudug Province, according to The Director.

The last subject he spoke of was the exploration in the Dharoor Valley. The Director told our reporter that a major reservoir of ‘good oil,’ as he described it, was discovered, and that an announcement was due soon. He went on to conclude that perceptions of Puntland and Somalia have changed, and that the big investors are ready to dive in with certainty.

As always, we take speculation, rumors, and word of mouth, even though this comes from a high-ranking Puntland official under anonymity, and we separate it from verified news reports that we’d normally classify as ‘World.’

hmmm but heard and seen it all before... Also I found interesting yesterday report was that in all other RNS they mentioned the depth that the drilling had reached but on this occasion they just mentioned what the last depth reading was.. Any views on why they didn't mention it...want to keep people guessing on progress....
