that chart sure looks like a downtrend to me.

Yes there's a ripple up, but the trend is most certainly down.

Four winning days from five is a rising trendis it not.and why do you have to be insulting? Name calling is not funny. just extremely rude and childishI am sure your parents taught you better manners Gausie.

Gausie - 26 Nov 2008 14:03 - 375 of 974

To take your questions one at a time.

1. Four winning days from five is a rising trendis it not

you might want to revise your wednesday figure. At 12:54, when you posted, the price was already off 3p - yet you misrepresented it as a rise.

And no, three rising days from 5 (or for that matter 3 rising days from 10) is in no way an uptrend. A rising trend is defined in the new thread referred to above. (the 'green shoots' one comprising example stocks who have rising trends )

2. and why do you have to be insulting? Name calling is not funny

I call it as I see it. You're an arse.

hilary - 26 Nov 2008 14:30 - 376 of 974

Chilli,

Four rising days in five is called a swallow. And one swallow doesn't make a summer.

tabasco - 26 Nov 2008 14:38 - 377 of 974

I call it as I see it. I dont think you can see anythingyou are just a very rude and childish person that is economical with the truth that has surprised me
I cant believe the positions you have held with the attitude you take
By the way any position that shows a profit will do for me.look at the SPs on bvic rsa. On a market 90 points downI dont have to give a Ruth Rendal running commentary for 2%.chicken feed!
Hilaryas far as I can remember I rise every dayand most nights.

chocolat - 26 Nov 2008 17:12 - 379 of 974

And MFI

Haystack - 26 Nov 2008 17:18 - 380 of 974

I was shopping this afternoon, hence the lack of posts.

I went in BHS and fond loads of things to buy. Good quality Xmas gifts of the spices, various infused oils type etc. All done in excellent presentation packaging and made of good materials. Nice clothes, especially womens woolens.

Then I went into M&S. What a change! Very poor quality Xmas gifts. It felt drab and downmarket. It was like being in Woolworth. Mainly overpriced badly designed clothes. The nicer woolens were similar to BHS, but at around a third more in price. M&S were empty and BHS were buzzing. No 20% off needed to get the customers into BHS. Saying that I was told quietly by an assistant that BHS are also having a 20% off day (maybe this Friday in the store I was in).

M&S are doomed and will only recover when Green buys them for around 230p after they have dropped to about 168p.

Haystack - 26 Nov 2008 17:19 - 381 of 974

tabasco

Haystack - where did you get the woolies news here it says Government wades in to save Woolworths

cynic - 26 Nov 2008 17:23 - 383 of 974

haystack .... why would you buy foodstuffs in BHS and not from a "proper" shop?
